I am not a fruitcake, but you are free to suck my nuts. :smokin

This post is to make a point to all the self indulged asses who chose to pick on spelling rather than responding to the substance that is most often very clear.

Speaking of self indulged asses. Rather than exposing yourself, it would be best if you added something of substance to the conversation, or learned to just STFU and move on.

Why should your post be any different than the growing contingent of grammatically challenged people who post here?

I think it's swell.

Actually the thread just needs to be moved to the club. It is about word recognition and a recent study that showed only the first and last letter need to be in the correct place for a word to be readable.

I don't understand all the hostility to the OP. Other than posting this in the wrong forum, why is everyone so upset? Are you just seeing gibberish and not attempting to read the original post?

Could anyone read this? I used the formula referenced by 5ToolMan. I'm curious if anyone was able to be 100% accurate in reading what it actually says. An example of a tricky part is the date. The 1 and the 6 remained in place but is it 1596 or 1956?

Who knows if they were real words? You read the first one fine right? Maybe it only works with easy words.

Okay, I got:
"_______ ______ is a _______ first proposed by the psychologist Leon ___________ in 1956, relating to his hypothesis of cognitive consistency."

on the first pass (except I originally put "physiologist" until I realized it didn't work)

then I was able to go back and figure out the first two words are "Cognitive dissonance".

It still made my head hurt, but the beer helped. :smokin
