Dude,
Your team was fuckin owned last night, even after being spotted a 14 point lead in the first.
You continue with your asterisk shit. Dude, go the fuck away and come back when we play Dallas again.
Better yet, come back when the Mavs win a fuckin playoff series. I seriously doubt they get past the first round.
Dallas is overrated.
Same ol shit..
Go away.

Dude, your team lost, they have never won shit, but you still act like a bitch in a Spurs forum.
Just like the dipshit Mav fans that were at the game yelling at people outside the ATT Center after they just got blown out.
I'm beginning to the think Mav fans have ADD.
Watch the fuckin scoreboard sometime.

Alright the Spurs won but lets not give them the crown of the nba award from one game in San Antonio. The name of the thread says the spurs think they can beat the mavs any time. To me that is pure bullshit but what do I expect from a spurs forum.
Well when Dallas is healthy and the spurs win the same way than I would be more convinced. This game is an asterisk imo.
Dude, these are two bannable quotes.
Why?
Because the game is over, your team is fucking through and you still don't get it.
You have ADD or you're a fukin retard.
It's time to move onto the next game. Mav fans need to go back home to mavtalk or wherever and comeback next time, this is the NBA Champion Spurs Forum, so GTFO.
Go Post in the NBA forum, the spurs treated the Mavs like the little whiny ass hoes they are and its time to move on.
When you get past the first round, you can come back....
Bye Bye!!!!

I have a question and I'm being completey serious. I don't want it to come out the wrong way, and I understand diversity is good but:
...what is the purpose of going to an opposing team's message board? What are the benefits of doing so? I guess it's not technically "trolling" if you are respectful, but what is the point of starting a flame war?

People like to flame I guess. I come to talk with other fans of other teams. I get sick of mavs boards so I go to other boards and what other board is more interesting to go to other than the mavs biggest rival.

Now that is funny. A 6'6 player guarding Dirk? Dirk has been owning guards all year this year. I think Avery finally developed Dirk's post game. Bowen will get owned if he is the one guarding Dirk.

Hmm I think pushing off is legit (MJ did it a lot), then again MJ was treated differently than other players. Once you get a player in the air though, he/she is at your mercy.
Also: Bowen isn't a guard!

what is the purpose of going to an opposing team's message board?
To find posters who are not on the same forum you post at
What are the benefits of doing so?
well if you want to talk smack to a spurs fan ? your not going to find that many at MavTalk so you might want to visit a spurs forum to make sure you find a spurs fan to talk to
I guess it's not technically "trolling" if you are respectful,
you need to visit the troll forum at this site to understand what a troll, and trolling really means
but what is the point of starting a flame war?
ask the topic starter,
after all , Mavsfan1000 didn't make this topic.and if you all don't know by now how to use the Ignore feature this site has to offer? then your always going to have to read what MavsFan1000 posts.

OR?
B: hope the Mavs don't make it out of the first round :lmao

Mavsfan1000 has every right to post views here as long he/she isn't incessantly trolling. Opposing views make for active forums, as do the occasional really idiotic posts that are marked for ownage.
v2freak, I agree that pushing off can be legitmate in cases where players are coming off screens or out of double stacks and defenders are grabbing and holding. Offensive players should have the leeway to free themselves from that.
Pushing a defender down and out of the way when the defender is just trying to move his/her feet and stay in front really should be called an offensive foul. This is especially true at the interscholastic level. Once it gets into the entertainment world of the NBA, the refs are going to be more lenient for players like retirees MJ and Reggie Miller, or players like AI today.
On your point regarding Bowen not being a guard...while it's true that Bruce is listed at 6'7" and starts as the Spurs' SF, he defends Guards all the time, plus in a lot of the Spurs' offensive plays the 2 and the 3 are interchangeable - as are the 4 and the 5 positions. He's truly a wing or swingman.

I agree that opposing viewpoints make for an active forum, but there are enough opposing viewpoints within the Spurs fans group. I fail to see why someone who professes to be a fan of another team would want to post here. I believe it is purely to set off a thread war an has no other purpose. My own opinion only....if you have a favorite team other than the Spurs, then please go away.

Mavs suck? Mavs suck-ass team?
Riiiight.
San Antonio beat us. That's it. I don't know how that = Mavs being a shit team. Our record is still 46-12 (.5 game up on your nice record at the current moment actually). Yea, we have some things to work on...yea, we haven't won anything special in the playoffs....but WTF we're a top three team this year. Just because you beat us in this one (you act like we haven't been able to beat you at all this year) does not mean we suck.
Solid D
03-04-2006, 03:31 PM
Well, seeing as how San Antonio had to play a tough, full 48 minutes to get that win against Dallas, as well as the 92-90 win earlier, I'd say pking has a valid point.
It doesn't prove the Mavs can beat the Spurs in a 7 game playoff series, so there is work to be done for Dallas. At least it's no longer _allas....maybe dallas instead of Dallas, though. :smokin

I think the reason there are so many people saying that the mavs suck is only to piss off a lot of the mavs fan that came onto the forum before the game talking shit about the spurs. Most people on this forum are educated basketball fans and realize that the Mavs are a very good team. However when someone comes to your turf and talks trash you are going to give them just as hard a time back when your team wins.
