Rasho had a sure dunk from 3 feet out and he ended up throwing the most scared little hook-put shot you will ever see. It was embarrassing for humanity.

I would battle blog Kori on what was more embarrassing: Tim for having the toughness of a dandelion or Rasho for using every square inch of his womanhood in pushing up that shot.

Rasho outrebounded the "manly" Mohammed tonight.

Rasho had a sure dunk from 3 feet out and he ended up throwing the most scared little hook-put shot you will ever see

And made it.

Once again I ask

whats the difference in points between the hook shot and the dunk?

Did they add more points for the dunk?

T Park

Tim for having the toughness of a dandelion

I hope your kidding on this,

most players would have folded and sat for months under the pain Duncan has played under.

After this year, I have nothing but love for Tim Duncan and his toughness.

:lol

Although, in retrospect....2 points is 2 points. Rasho did set some nice screens, sealing for Tony on drives (you know, the plays where TP drives around 2 guys and then all of the sudden he has clear sailing). Rasho also had some timely offensive rebounds (3). He was okay.

Difference is the chance of missing an uncontested, 2 hand jam under the basket is about .01%, chance of missing a womanhood sky push - probably about 20%.

T Park

So the difference is, theres more chance of missing a hook shot than a dunk.

If they are both made, once again, whats the difference....

Tim Duncan lays out on the court anytime anything happens to him. I used to think he was seriously hurt 10 times a year until I just realized he's got some low tolerance of pain or is a drama queen or something.

Everytime Duncan gets hit he has to check for blood like 80 times.

On a side note, he may be playing through an injury but he sure as hell isn't playing that good. I think I'd rather have him resting than some of the pitiful performances he's given.

That shot by Rasho was the worst made shot in Spurs history. I was ashamed to be a Spurs fan.

TPARK,

First of all that was the most embarrasing made shot of Spurs Basketball. Margo Dydek may as well have been on the Spurs. Second of all, what's the difference if he misses it?

Before the Portland game I would have agreed.

But he lookedl ike the old Timmy tonight and it has given me hope.

The sarcasm is thicker than the fog here in Houston :lol

Name a more embarrassing shot.

T Park
03-07-2006, 02:58 AM
Ive never considered made shots embarassing to be honest.

Actually, I think Mengke Bateer made a turnaround 12 foot hook one time, that I almost barfed on the person in front of me two years ago.

So Id go with any shot Jack Haley or Mengke Bateer made.

phyzik

Its not the actual making or missing of the shot thats the point.

Its the fact that he is not ASSERTING himself.

Everytime Rasho catches the ball around the basket, the estrogen level of the court surges.

I beg to differ there GoSpurs21. timvp isn't making us all ashamed and, in fact, he's the man when it comes to most things Spurs.

I dunno. I'll take an embarassing made shot...over a manly missed one.

Except that making the shot gives Rasho positive feedback that he should do that the next time . . .

and out of 100 shots like that, he'll make about 60-70%, whereas if he takes it strong, its more like 80-90%, and a probably foul.

Reinforcing bad habits does the team no good in the long run.
