Gosh, wouldn't it be nice if just once the Spurs got one of these special unis?

I'm sure the Irish lobby in San Antonio is very offended at the lack of uniforms.

All 193 of them.

It's a little weird that they would make St. Patrick's Day jerseys. Will we have orange and brown jerseys for Thanksgiving next season?

I'm glad the Spurs are usually immune to these types of things. Other than the crappy silver uniforms a couple of years back, our team has stuck to the basics. :tu

I wish the Pistons could say the same thing. The basics have been kept (Red and Blue at least) since their days in Fort Wayne. Howeva, there was that 5-year period (1996-2001) where they took trying to be the Boston Celtics to a whole new level:

Well, they are undefeated in the alternates this year...so you can't fault them there. But those New York ones remind me of the Pistons during the HELL years.

I consider that the dark ages in Pistons history.

The St. Patrick's Day unis are crap too. Boston's isnt bad, but it doesnt look much different for their road uni's anyway.

the blue Cavs jerseys are nice, but if the Spurs ever decide to get an alternate, I hope they do a better job on the silver unis.

Better than their current Alternates, I would agree. If there are teams I don't want to see changing their uniforms it's the Celtics, Pistons, Lakers, and Knicks. It's too late for the Sixers and Wizards, but in a perfect world, they would have the same unis as back when I first was watching in the 1980s.

Amen. I think the current incarnation of the Pistons unis are good but I thought the Isiah-Dumars-Salley unis were better and either one is better than that God-awful teal stuff you guys had in the mid-90's! Our logo was bad enough but at least it wasn't on the gear. Pistons go back to the red and blue, they win a title. Coincidence? I think not.

5 years with the RW&B - 257-131 (.662) in regular season, 43-32 (.573) in postseason - Three Division titles (soon-to-be four), four 50-win seasons (soon-to-be-five), Two Conference Championships, One NBA title.

5 years with TMB&Y - 194-184 (.513) in the regular season, 4-12 (.250), no division titles, one 50-win season, no playoff series wins.

Coincidence?

hmmm -

if they made a tony parker one, i'd so buy it because 1) I love Tony Parker, and 2) my birthday is on St. Patrick's Day, and 3) my name's Erin, which is about the most Irish first name a girl can have, and thus I always have silly St. Patrick's Day stuff.

The Celtics one is the only one that actually makes sense, though. And of course, those three cities that are getting the uniforms have a high population of Irish, so...

Too late for the Lakers too. Those unis suck compared to the blue ones they wore from the 80 or so until 99... although the purple ones they wore in the 70s were the tightest.

As for the Sixers, they used to change their uniforms almost every single year from 1965 or so until 1982.
