For the first time, Tau Ceramica and Lietuvos Rytas meet in Euroleague Top 16 play on Wednesday.

"They count on a complete roster."

"They want to reach the best results in this year's Euroleague."
"For me, facing Lietuvos Rytas in the Top 16 is not a surprise because when you win such a tough tournament like the ULEB Cup, nobody can deny that you are a big team. They count on a complete roster, with very good players in each position. They have two important Lithuanian players, maybe the best two from Lithuania right now, Javtokas and Jasaitis. They count on a experienced player, Stelmahers. They also have found many players who can score, like Nielsen, House... They are a very balanced team. It's always important to dominate the boards. We have to take care of their big men, especially Javtokas, who is big, athletic and quick."

"They want to reach the best results in this year's Euroleague."

"Tau Ceramica's roster is really deep. They have twelve players, both the starters and the bench, who are fully prepared to play at the highest level. Recently they added Lionel Chalmers to their roster, what means they want to reach the best results in this year's Euroleague. They have been showing really good basketball. Besides, they haven't lost a single home game yet. Pablo Prigioni, Luis Scola and Casey Jacobsen are the key players on their team. They form a very effective triangle, which is truly difficult to stop. They play tough defensively and often use zone defense. This game is of great importance, but even if we lose, it will not be over. Nothing is done yet. I think the teams which will qualify for the playoffs will not be decided until the last minutes of the last games."

It will be interesting to see, if Scola can bounce back after he was stopped in Moscow:

Just looking at the boxscore Scola vs Javtokas looks to have been a wash.

Javtokas I think was set to come over last summer, but the labor uncertainty and his wife going to college changed his mind.

This summer though :evil

Bring on Robertas!!!

Horry's not going to retire after this season. He still has two more season on his contract after this season is up.

I hope the Spurs can bring either one over after the season and hopefully it will be Scola.

7 asists by Scola? in Europe that's huge.

if horry retires, is that contract garunsheed? so he get a payout and does that still count against the cap?

Against the cap, but I'm not 100% sure.
He is not 36 yet and there is a rule "36"....

I do not know that stuff much. Need to checkout the rules.

I think Horry was given a contract for that long without the intention of playing for that long. Basically a nice reward for his playoff heroics that fit into a smaller salary slot. I think the Spurs always intended to buy out the last year of his contract but if he's still up for the challenge, hopefully he can still play.

For some reason I feel like Scola is going to be a bust. I like the other guy better. That's just me though.
