Agree... Those weak ass 5ft hooks by Rasho annoy the hell out of me.

Dunk the freaking ball big boy!

:rolleyes I didn't hear anyone complaining about our Frontcourt for the six or so previous games.......which we'd won.

Spurs were due for a loss, yes our Frontcourt sucked yesterday, but I don't think they've completely fallen apart as you seem to be insinuating.

Spurs, and any NBA team, will almost always lose to any team, clips or other, that shoots 52% for the game, and way above 52% for the second half.

The Spurs FG 44% wasn't bad, wasn't in the high 30's like the Spurs have done before this season.

It was the clips' hot shooting, plus the Spurs absent rebounding, plus the Spurs -8 FT pts, that won the game.

If the Clips or anybody could play that well every night, the Clips wouldn't have 25 Ls.
Clips are now 4-6 in their Last10.

just better hope Spurs can hold on to #1 spot cause whom ever gets #4 gets clippers in the 1st round

You have a good point, because it was a back-to-back, Rasho has an excuse to be a fucking scrub...well, there is no way out of it if you always are one...so I don't know.

Rasho needs to stop bein a pussy.

Thank you. Case closed. Thankfully, this is an issue we can (hopefully) put to bed once the playoffs start.

The Spurs are still playing great now, but they'll still drop a few here and there, which is expected. What more can you ask from these guys?

I was dissapointed in Nazr.

I thought the Clippers would set up good for him.

A smaller front court, in Brand and others.

I thought he would rebound better, and get more second chance buckets.

Duncan was playing well, when given the chance to defend and play offense.

The refs got to him to a point, and that will happen once in a while.

Nazr has hardly played worth a shit since he's been starting. Check the numbers. Pop needs to go Tubby Smith on him and make his ass RUN if he doesn't get a rebound for every three minutes of game court time. He hasn't been bringing it.

He was called for zero PFs in 20 minutes vs. LAC, and had as many TOs as points: 2.

That is false. Nazr has started after the All-Star break for 8 games and his averages were:
8.9 PPG
7.25 RPG
1.4 BPG
.8 TPG
23 MPG
Nazr also brings, well sometimes, the intangible stat 'toughness'

Everybody played like shit except for Manu who was like 7 for 8 on the field and I was mad that he didn't take more shots.

But you have a hardon hate for Nazr, so not suprising youd take it that way.

I don't hate Nazr TPark, I just recognize his shortcomings, as I do Rasho's. They're both flawed half game players. Just keeping it real.

He's had exactly one good game in those 8 that REALLY skewed those averages, his 15/14 effort vs. the GSW. Other than that, for the other 7 games, his averages are 7.3p/5.2r in 22.6 minutes. HIs edge is supposed to be offense and rebounding. Rasho averages that, AND plays defense.

Dont wanna throw that in there?

The Laker game he was OK.

The Spurs are on pace to have their best record ever. The Heat and pistons are the only froncourts that can compare this year. Also 5 deep. more than the rest.

What does Timmy have on his left knee?

boutons_

Tim had that in the previous game. It's a support sleeve, no pads that I can see.
That's the knee/tendons that quit on him @DAL 2 seasons back.

Peter

Right now I'm feeling a Pistons sweep in the Finals. The Spurs just have not exhibited what is needed to take out the Pistons. The frontcourt is borderline mediocre this season. A couple sore feet plus a bad hip and suddenly the Spurs look like the Hawks up front. There is no coherence, no rhythm. When you are outrebounded by the Lakers by 10 on your home court in March, things are not looking good. Right now we gotta pin our hopes on the lack of back to backs and playoff cliches like 'you don't need the 1 seed to win the title' or 'everyone starts 0-0 in the 2nd season' or the all-time favorite 'they know when to flip the switch'....

Extra Stout
03-11-2006, 12:34 AM
If I had to make a prediction, I'd say Pistons in 6. But the Spurs still have a decent chance.

Man In Black
03-11-2006, 12:41 AM
Yeah..like there'll be multiple back-to-backs throughout the playoffs.

I feel a silver and black ass-kicking is about to be plagued upon the league. Pestilence, Famine, War, All things deadly for sure but do they match the wrath that Gregg Popovich can bring when it matters most?

Peter
03-11-2006, 12:43 AM
So we're hoping for 'the switch'?

Well, looking at the schedule, I could see their finishing something like 17-3. A mere 15-5 gets them the franchise-best win total.

Peter
03-11-2006, 12:57 AM
That's the worst thing. They can have the greatest franchise regular season of all-time and not be the best team in the L.

Some years the league is tougher than others. One year the Sonics won 64 games and ran into that 72-win Bulls team. Another time the Celtics went 68-14, but Hvlicek got hurt in the playoff and they lost to the Knicks in the East final.

It could be worse; the Mavericks are poised to win perhaps 65 games yet go out in the second round.
