I actually liked Dogs better, probably because Steve Buschemi was in it!

I think I liked Reservoir Dogs better. Not because I am not trying to sound 'mainstream', but because it came first, and there was nothing like it out on the movie market. It was on its own, and brilliant. Although Pulp was totally different from anything else out there, it was not so surprising if you had already seen Dogs. Brilliant and enjoyable, but not surprising or exciting on the level of Dogs, at least for me.

lol, someone hates QT!

ShoogarBear

I think QT is overrated. Kill Bills were indulgent crap.

But both Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs were excellent. Pulp Fiction was the better movie, but like Melmart said, Dogs was fresher.

I like Jackie Brown better than all of them.

But between the two I'd say Pulp Fiction.

Reservoir Dogs.

I cant stand John Travolta. Even if he was good in the movie, the guy bugs me.
So, by default - Reservoir Dogs.

MR. PINK Why am I Mr. Pink?

JOE Cause you're a faggot.

Everybody laughs.

MR. PINK Why can't we pick out our own colors?

JOE I tried that once, it don't work. You get four guys fighting over who's gonna be Mr. Black. Since nobody knows anybody else, nobody wants to back down. So forget it, I pick. Be thankful you're not Mr. Yellow. :lmao :lmao

MR. BROWN Yeah, but Mr. Brown? That's too close to Mr. Shit.

Everybody laughs.

MR. PINK Yeah, Mr. Pink sounds like Mr. Pussy. Tell you what, let me be Mr. Purple. That sounds good to me, I'm Mr. Purple.

JOE You're not Mr. Purple, somebody from another job's Mr. Purple. You're Mr. Pink.

MR. WHITE Who cares what your name is? Who cares if you're Mr. Pink, Mr. Purple, Mr. Pussy, Mr. Piss...

MR. PINK Oh that's really easy for you to say, you're Mr. White. You gotta cool-sounding name. So tell me, Mr. White, if you think "Mr. Pink" is no big deal, you wanna trade?

JOE Nobody's trading with anybody! Look, this ain't a goddamn fuckin city counsel meeting! Listen up Mr. Pink. We got two ways here, my way or the highway. And you can go down either of 'em. So what's it gonna be, Mr. Pink?

MR. PINK Jesus Christ, Joe. Fuckin forget it. This is beneath me. I'm Mr. Pink, let's move on.

Reservoir Dogs is one of the most overrated movies ever IMO. Pulp Fiction is my favorite movie I've ever seen. It's dramatic, it's hilarious, it has great gangster action... it's as perfect as a movie gets.

Reservoir Dogs was only good at the very end. Pulp Fiction was interesting through out the whole flick. I appreciate the violence level of both of them but I have to give the nod to Pulp Fiction for the better storyline.

reservoir dogs was decent, but at times got stupidly over the top with violence.

Pulp Fiction was fantastic.

Pulp Fiction, Easily.

I have to go with Reservoir dogs too.
That whole tipping scene, classic.
I love that soundtrack too.

And although its not a QT film or a choice in here, the Usual Suspects gets a big nod from me as well.

i think Dogs is 51-49 edge to me, but i still say it goes both ways. both movies have good stories behind it as well as the violence

Dam Shoog...that was harsh about Kill Bill...there were some classic scenes in that one...that little Japanese Schoolgirl/assassin was a 9.9 on the petermeter for me till she got out the ball and chain... :lol

Reservoir Dogs is a great movie. But Pulp Fiction is a masterpiece.

It's kinda like the difference between the two films by Guy Ritchie.

Snatch is a great film but Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels is a freaking classic.

They're both really close. Reservoir Dogs was fresher but I think Pulp Fiction went further as a film with that style. That's just my 2cents but i'm trying to be professional about it.

Snatch is a great film but Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels is a freaking classic.

WHAT!? First of all Lock, Stock came before Snatch so just like Reservoir Dogs paved the way for a way better film in Pulp Fiction, Lock Stock paved the way for a way better Snatch. And Rock n Rolla beats both of them

Get rid of Brad Pitt's ridiculously retarded cliche character and that movie would've been like 5X better. Seriously, I wanted to vomit every time I heard the word 'natzees'

I gave the nod to Pulp, just because it was a more precise, colorfully perfected blueprint of Dogs(which was badass).

FWIW, i dug the Kill Bill's and Basturds also.

I love when old threads like this are bumped. I wish the thread was public so I knew what I voted.

Pulp Fiction is so damn good that it has been outplayed and is generally overrated.
Reservoir Dogs was so great for it's time, and we had not experienced the crazy Tarentinoisms that we're all familiar with now. I think it's slightly underrated.

Gotta go with RD, if only for the scene with Tarentino with blood all over his face dying an anticlimactic death. rofl.

Or better yet, when Tarentino was asking to be another person than Mr. Brown "Because brown's too close to shit"
roflrofl

From Dusk til Dawn FTW w/ Selma.

Christopher Walken's speech to a young Butch in Pulp Fiction was better than the whole of Reservoir Dogs... though the same can be said for the Big Kahuna Burger scene, the dead ###### storage scene, the restaurant robbery scene, and the wreck and spillover into the pawn shop.

I like Jackie Brown better than all of them.

But between the two I'd say Pulp Fiction.

Jackie Brown is a very underrated movie. It's one of my favorites if only for the mere fact they shot a scene outside Sam's Hofbrau.

But of all of Tarantino's scripts, I think True Romance is the best movie. Especially, if you have seen the Tarantino cut.
