Some opponents of abortion rights hope the additions of Justices John Roberts and Samuel Alito will make the court more likely to overturn Roe v. Wade, although a majority of the court still appears to support the 1973 ruling.
Wedge-issue. All these court challenges will fall by the way-side after the mid-term elections and it becomes more evident that the court has not turned on Roe-vs-Wade, but how better to motivate the wing-nuts to the polls than a State Amendment on abortion (:rolleyes sound familiar?) that has no chance in court.

Blah, the GOP is funded by Corporate lobbyists who figure they have it much easier under a Republican President than they would under a Democrat, (for obvious reasons) and the extremely rich who's money is usually tied to social agendas or some type of favorable treatment (usually either a crony position or a favorable regulatory ruling for their industry). They need the votes of the wingnuts, not their money.
(On a side-note I burst out in uncontrollable laughter everytime I hear Innsanity or Limpballs say the name George Soro. Talk about a case of the kettle calling the pot black!)
:lol
