1978-79 - 30-52
1979-80 - 4-8

- Obsessed over acquiring Bob McAdoo; sent two 1st round picks to Boston to get him; one packaged in the deal that sent Kevin McHale and Robert Parish to the Celtics.

- Drafted his U of D stars John Long and Terry Tyler.

- Coached the first 12 games of the worst season in Pistons history (16-66).

No wonder I'm in broadcasting, Baby!

Hall-of-Fame, my ass.

The boring card is the last weak gasp of those desperate to find something bad to say. I hear those parades on the riverwalk never stop being exciting.

I wouldn't say the spurs are boring playing style wise. It's just the personalities that are boring.

I wouldn't say the spurs are boring playing style wise. It's just the personalities that are boring. You know what I really find boring? Championship celebrations and Finals Game Seven victories. I'd rather watch a Mav's regular season moral victory.

You know what I find really boring? "Analysts" who choose teams other than the Spurs because they think the Spurs are boring, and not on their merit. The record of the Spurs may dictate that they are similar to other teams... but i guarantee you, those other teams have not been snakebitten like the Spurs...

As if Dirk had a "winning" personality? He looks and acts like the bad villian in a B movie.

Then you have Stackhouse - simply a punk in every way
Josh Howard - nice kid, quiet, fine game but bland
Keith van Horn - ??Charmin salesman
Terry - mouth is far bigger than his game.
Dampier etc. nothing to write home about.

Give me the verve of Manu, the growing star quality of Parker and even Duncan's quiet silent type than any of the Mavericks.

I wouldn't say the spurs are boring playing style wise. It's just the personalities that are boring. Tim Duncan signing with Adidas because they agreed to support his charities more than the others.

Bruce Bowen waking up everyday one and a half hour earlier so he can still spend the same amount of time in the gym and spend time with his newly born son.

Tony Parker dating one of the hotest actress in holywood.

Brent Barry's charities....

And I could go on, but I don't want to come across as boring...

I do not think anyone calls them boring anymore.

I have to admit that the 99 team was boring, but since Manu and Tony came to play, they are anything but.

Tony parker is boring... All he does is shoot jumpers.

Speaking of Parker's jumper. It looked very good last night. It has looked good the past couple of games. I hope its not just a series a game and hope he is starting to develop it.

Parker has earned 5 feet of space in front of him to shoot anytime he wants.

My only hope is that he can do it in the playoffs.

Tony's shot looked SWEET last night. I don't remember him looking this good shooting from 18 ft EVER.

Of course, making 90% of your jump shots will make you look good.

Anyone want to analyze his form and so on? I seem to remember TimVp said his release was looking kinda funny still...

leemajors
03-10-2006, 10:31 AM
it still looks a little funky but his wrist flip and release point are way better - i'm no expert but the rotation of the ball when it left his hand looked perfect last night.

You're damn skippy that the Spurs are boring! I've been saying it for years and now people around here are finally admitting what they've known deep down in their little, bitter silver and black hearts for years. Let's look at the facts.

Duncan: Never yells. THAT'S THE MOST EXCITING THING A HUMAN CAN DO AND HE NEVER DOES IT!!! Boring.
Horry: Every time he shows up in the finals you know who is going to win. It's takes the fun out of watching the games. Boring.
Parker: The most exciting thing about him is that he's dating some Hollywood hottie, and ain't gonna last for long. Stephen A. is working his magic on that chica. Check this out.
http://www.eva-longoria.net/gallery/data/1015/medium/eva-longoria_dot_net-nbaallstarweekend-2005feb17-miller013.jpg
He's trying to rap but he's doing it in some gibberish language that I can't understand. He'll never be half the music mega star that my boy Shaq is. Boring.
Ginobili: Is there a more boring number than 20? No, there isn't.

Quite frankly there has never been a more boring team in recorded history. Hell, the Spurs may in fact be moring boring than the teams that cavemen played on! That's saying something.

i stopped watching in the middle of the third to go to blockuster to get a movie and put it on when it was the 4th. normally i wouldnt do this on a spurs night, especially when theyre on national TV. but the game just got so boring, when the spurs were up 20 pts, i knew they had the game in the bag cuz i knew the spurs had a badass defense to keep the suns from making a comeback

It's just you. I look like a cross between Denzel Washington, Sam Jackson, and Richard Roundtree.

And how would you know what a chipmunk looks like when it's in heat? Sounds like the doctor needs a girlfriend. STAT!

The word boring came originally because of Duncan. Obviously San Antonio has changed their roster a lot in the last 6 years but the common denominator is Duncan. The leader is boring so that is why the media thinks of San Antonio that way.

That's the thing: Duncan is not boring! He's one of the funniest guys in the NBA. He gives great interviews when people bother to actually talk to him and not ask retarded questions, and the commercials he's in are terrific.

The boring label was something that unfortunately got hung on him by the ESPN types who hate having to cover a player who's game can't be summed up in two second clips. "Tonight in New Jersey the Nets took on the Spurs. Let's go to the game tape. VINCE CARTER!!!! WE LOVE YOU VINCE! THAT DUNK WAS OFF DA HOOK!!! WOOOOOOOOOO!!! Oh, and the Spurs won 110-55, Duncan scored 29 with 15 rebounds. In the world of baseball..."
