Man, there are so many. I'll list my fave off each album.

Alone and Easy Target - Self Titled
New Way Home - The Colour and teh Shape
Stacked Actors - There is Nothing Left to Lose
Comeback - One by One
In Your Honor - On Your Honor

They do a great cover of Requiem as a B-Side.

One by One was by far their shittiest album. God damn it was shit. Dave has even mentioned that it was their weakest in an interview a while back. There is NOthing Left to Lose is by far their best album. It starts off strong with Stacked Actors, and Gimmie Stitches has to be their best song ever. Very Slow Ride sounding.

Monkey Wrench
Best of You
"I needed somewhere to hang my head
Without your noose
You gave me something that I didn’t have
But had no use"
I loved those lyrics the minute I heard them

Color and the shape and prior. Everything beyond is crap.

I would have to say "Everlong"... I always thought the song was over too soon. It's got a rythem that can go on forever and continue sounding great...

My nickname in high school was "Johnny Park".

"Big Me" is still their best video.

The only cd that was borderline crap was their debut cd but that video was entertaining. Everything else was great. The Colours and the Shapes is when they truly arrived along with the follow up "Nothing Left to Lose."

I'm looking to the sky to save me
Looking for a sign of life
Looking for something to help me burn out bright
I'm looking for a complication
Looking cause I'm tired of lying
Make my way back home when I learn to fly :music :music :music

Learn to Fly....love that song! can't get enough of it.

You know, that song came out when I was 19 and was one of those snobbish music assholes. You know the type, they seem to only like lesser known bands and are critical of whatever song is big at the moment. I used to hate Learn To Fly, but that songs a pop masterpiece. I'm really into that song now.

Most everything from Colour and the Shape and prior as well.

Saw them open for the Red Hot Chili Peppers when Californication was released by RCHP.

Both bands rocked. Everlong is awesome live.

Yeah Everlong probably is their best song. Aurora is right up there also but as well known.

yeah, I know the type. Very cool of you to admit it though, I've never met anyone actually admit to that. So :tu :tu for you.
I love the song and while I was reading through the lyrics I realized, this is actually great poetry to.

BTW...for lesser known bands (at least I think they're not well known) who make great music that also makes great poetry, check out Wine and Roses. or is it Wine and Blood.
Not sure of their exact name, but they have a few songs out that I don't even need to hear, just reading it is satisfying enough.

This Is a Call and...Headwires. Perhaps. I really like almost all of the music they put out, from their debut album up to their latest. All My Life is a rockin song, so is Alone + Easy Target, as is their rendition of Baker Street.

Isn't this question an "oxymoron"? :lmao
