What is the format of your audio book?

Where did you get it?

Did you digitize it yourself?

It's mp3. I downloaded it off of Limewire.

Can you import it in itunes?

if you can right click on it and chose "get info" and go to the summary tab.

Copy the properties and paste them here

Can you open it in any software?

If you can't it's either corrupt or encoded in a strange way. To help you further I need to know the encoding properties of the file.

When I try to import it says " the file "audiobook.mp3" cannot be imported An unknown error occurred (-50)."

I can listen to the audio in limewire, and any other audio player.

Many times i can just rename the file and then it can be added to the library.

I'm not familiar with that software. I have to assume there's something wrong with the file itself (a piece missing, corruption of the file that happened during the download, ...)

If you can listen to the whole thing and that there are no "glitches" then the situation is even more confusing.

But then again it's p2p so everything is possible...
