this is the fault of the Coyote.
He has stopped hugging more people around the arena to cheer for the returning Spurs who thought Spurs could win this game easily.
My, i won the vbookie for tonight, but I'm sad :cry bec. i lost at the same time (Spurs record 69-73 Wins no longer applies).

I wouldnt go as far as to say Sheed has owned tim cuz tim has beaten sheed everytime they face each other be it college or NBA, but out of every player in the league, sheed is the one who gives tim the most problems. this years finals are gonna be ugly in detroit's favor.

I am not a hater, just would love that for my screen saver. And for the record, Pistons WILL give Spurs another fight this year if Spurs make it to finals. I dont mind the Pistons, just the arena fans, they are idiots as are Nugget and Suns fans. Cheering Spurs injuries and booing everything Spurs do. You never see such behavior at Spurs games.

sorry but if you mean pistons fans cheer if a player gets injured then you need to get your facts right. Pistons fans don't do that. Plus this year i can think of 2 games where a player went down in a pistons game and crowd cheered when he got back up on his feet not because he got injured.

Some of you guys are total pantywaists. The Spurs weren't going to go undefeated the rest of the year. Damn.
The SPurs did get worked over on the schedule this year. There really is no arguing it. The defending Champs playing on the road on every holiday? B2B's galore. Rodeo road trip cross country and back and back. I know we have the Rodeo Road Trip every year but this year we went west coast to east coast and back, harsh.
Anyway, the Spurs will pull it together the last month of the season when 70% of the games are at home.
As far as the B2Bs go, I think the Pistons are scheduled with something like 6 or 7 more than the Spurs are. Yeah, they're tough, and the 4 in 5 and 7 in 10 games are really difficult to win, but the Spurs aren't the only ones with that problem. And the holidays? I believe that the Pistons last year had a Christmas game on the road in Indy, when they were defending champs. And if anybody uses the rodeo trip as an excuse again, I'm going to hurl. Yeah, it was a long stretch of games away from home, but there was a six day break in the middle. They came home and had some time off, I think. Anyway, sorry if I pissed any of ya off, this wasn't aimed at Spurs fan in general, just this guy.

if this lakers team trade garnett with keeping odom and bryant, it's hard to say but they will have a great chance to have another three peat. it's the fourth game in five nights, duncan has had an injury, bowen is getting old vs vs. these kind of games are message games and no matter what the excuses were, spurs should have dominated this lakers team whose 3 players of starting five can be 6th or 7th players in other nba teams.

Let's put things in perspective here. The Spurs have been losing either 2, 3 or 4 games per month. No more than that.
The Spurs can still lose 3 more games and finish the season with a record-high 65 wins. I seriously doubt Pop will be threatening to dye his hair and repeating 7 or 8 times "it's not the schedule, it's not the schedule."
Everything in perspective.

You are quite right. The Spurs are professionals and need to step up like other teams who get back to backs. But what i dont understand is the Xmas game where the NBA champs had to fly to the city of the team they DEFEATED in the finals after several other road games.
The Spurs are famous for starting slow and peaking at playoff times and I hope this year is no different. I would love to see another Pistons - Spurs final.

Yes, we heard, the person who threw the rock was an asshole. However, i invite you to watch as many games as you can at ATT center. The Spurs fans are the most gracious of any fans, cheering good plays, cheering hurt players who get back up. No throwing of ice on other players, etc.
In defense of Piston fans, they aint Seattle or Denver fans.

Lets all remember, the Spurs will all show up at playoff time, and first seed or fourth seed, everyone must play the same number of series' to win. We are the best team in the West... period.

Perfect time for a loss. Now Pop has a little ammo. He can bitch them out, get them refocused, just in time to close out the regular season.
That's what I told myself after we lost to the Lakers.
Sometimes a bad loss is really a positive. The coaches can use this game as an example for the remaining 20+ games.

I find it odd how a lot of you Spurs "fans" bitch about respect and the Spurs not getting it, yet when the Spurs lose you abandon them like spoiled milk and disrespect them. Every team loses to a bad team. Detroit lost to LA also, they lost to the Hawks also, so just sit tight and wait until June rolls around.

This was a crappy loss but the schedule this last week has been friggin ridiculous. Two back to backs within 5 days and the fact that we had a 9:30 game last night and had to fly back for this one tonight. The guys are wiped out. A little rest tomorrow and we should be back on track against the Rockets. It's always painful to lose to the Lakers but it's one loss in a long season.

Coach Jackson reminded me that when an opposing player misses a shot (i.e. he shoots the ball but it fails to go through the spherical cylinder)... I should probably try to retrieve it before someone else does.... I tried that tonight and got 10 rebounds.... Coach is a genius!

Coach said, "Listen up Kwame, you're a giant muscular athlete... On the outside you may look like Hercules but on the inside you are a soft as a Hostess Twinkie”.... “When we play the Spurs tonight, pretend you are Shaq...Every time Duncan catches the ball in the low-post, plant your giant forearm in his kidneys and hold your ground....I guarantee you good things will happen”....
It worked! Coach Phil just knows this stuff....

Unfortunately the whole team seems so sure that they are going to lose the second half of back to back games that they don't even bother to show up. It's hard to convince the team that it's a bad loss. Hopefully he'll light them up for the lack of effort. They've done just enough this year that Pop can't pull out the soft speech in a presser.
