With someone other than my ex husband for the first time in years tonight. It was weird. It went well I suppose, but I am just not into it right now...I didn't think I would be back in this situation. :oops

How was everyone ELSE'S Friday night?

I dated my husband for three years before we got married...and I didn't "put out" until our wedding night. What do you think?

Adrienne, I would just assume that it's going to take some time for it to feel the way you'd expect it to.

You've got tons of time, just try to take care of yourself and enjoy what you can when you can.

Well I'm already making progress, at least I'm not offended and have the urge to slap a guy who asks me out anymore. :lol

:tu I'm too exhausted to think straight right now, but I think Johnny gave some great advice right here. I'm sure its still hard and awkward, but take your time, noone's rushing you to be ready. You shouldn't let anyone rush you either. Trust me, it will only make thinks confusing and difficult. Just test the waters and be patient.

As for me, I had a great time tonight, and tomorrow night should be even better :)

Sounds like you're still in serious denial about your ex. You bring it up alot, seems like it weighs on your mind every second of the day.

That's normal, especially for those who marry (and divorce) young.

I would suggest not dating at all.

sounds like you were testing the waters... maybe you should wait a bit.

have you considered going on "group" dates 1st? that might be a way to ease you back into the dating world.... kinda like starting out in the shallow end of the pool ya know?

anyway -0 your right! at least you didn't slap the poor guy and actually went on a datew with him! :lol
i don't envy you adrienne, I don't think i'd be able to work up the nere to go on a date if (god forbid) something happened to my marriage or husband. so your doing good so far in my book.

((((((hugs))))))

Based on what I've read about first dates in this forum in the last week, I recommend you on a date with with a latino/hispanic/mexican woman. Then, by comparison, all other dates will be awesome.

It's tough when you're young like that. Many (not all) couples who marry young or marry their high school sweethearts don't make it, or they stay together because that is all they know.

they end up being unhappy, because they think that there must be something better, or different out there. They may love their significant other more than anything, but they may know someone more exciting, or affectionate, or someone who doesn't booze around the kids, etc., and they may be drawn to that.

You should take some time off, Adrienne, but you're lucky to be young so you have alot of time.

Just chill for a while and enjoy yourself (not intended to mean anything more than what it is).

Forget any standards I may have, Ace would be invited in, and then to stay forever. :eyebrows
