Tonight was the annual Friday Fellowship night at the AT&T Center. The theme was " God is For Us" and Bruce, who is a committed Christian, gave a testimony- how he trust Jesus to always be there to help and bless him.
Bruce was so very encouraging. Funny too. :)
Bruce showered a lot of love on his family that was present: Yardley, baby Bowen (who, btw, is adorable and obviously much loved), and extended visiting family- grandma, aunt and uncle and some others.
Bruce also said how much he appreciates the way the community here has embraced him and his family- saying that we've been better to him than any other city. :)
Bruce (to illustrate his point): " I still get (traffic) tickets in California. Here I get a warning." :lol
Other people who participated in tonight's event were Max Lucado ( he's David Robinson's pastor) and a Christian band called The Afters.
For MTV watchers, The Afters are the sound track for that new show Eighth and Ocean.
The band and the agent who booked them actually ate dinner up in the Terrace Club. I sat the band. :fro
It was a really good time, which is why I wanted to come home and give Bruce props for his part in it.
