I usually dream random stuff at night and can only remember bits and pieces, but lately I've been having some REALLY VIVID dreams.. I can remember the whole storyline and every detail, it's weirding me out because for quite a few nights these kind of dreams have been occuring..

One dream was that me and my two older sisters were at this hospital... my two older sisters just had babies, and as we were there the dr. told me I had a baby too. I was like "WTF" b/c I'm pretty sure I haven't had a baby. Yet in my dream everyone was trying to convince me that I had a baby girl and they had me look through a bunch of pictures and names for babies to see if I could remember naming her. Meanwhile I'm just freaking out because my sisters are acting like I did have a baby too and just can't remember. It seemed waaay too real and scared the hell out of me. Help!

My second vivid dream was that I was going to UTSA for classes with my friends but we were extremely late, so we decided to go back to our friend's house. Well, we talked for so long in the car and didnt realize we were driving away from San Antonio that by the time we realized it, we were in some weird town where we had to find our way out like a maze. This dream was so long and we were so lost that by the end I just broke down crying. We went through dark houses, alleys.. I saw a few black pigs...WTF does it all mean?!

These two dreams were just tonight. http://spurstalk.com/forums/images/smilies/smiconfused.gif

don't worry LuvBones...you are perfectly normal. Don't forget to buy diapers on the way home. You DO have a baby. You just have to go back to that town and find it before the black pigs get it.

If you dream that you forgot you had a baby, then it suggests that you are trying hide your own vulnerabilities

Don't feel too bad ... I've been having some terrible dreams lately. I had a dream last night that I had a white Tahoe (haha) and my ex-husband stole it ... then I got a text message on my phone in the middle of the night that said that the truck was parked down the street of the house I lived in when I was growing up. So I was running down the street in just my tshirt and started getting chased by these 2 guys, was caught (of course) and raped. I woke up. Nice, huh?

I guess I don't recommend eating any double-stuffed Oreos before you go to bed... :spin

Wow that's horrible.

On Saturday night, I dreamed that LJ and I (and a bunch of other people) were being held captive by a killer. And it was in an underground place that had a tunnel where you could try to run into and escape if the killer didn't see you. So we took a vote and decided LJ should try to run for help.

After LJ took off, the killer was doing things like shooting people in front of our eyes. And then he was beating a baby. So I went crazy. I got a big stick (like a sharpened broom handle) and I just ran at him and started stabbing him over and over. I stabbed him all the way through his body and he wouldn't die. So I slice him completely in half at the waist. :wow And he was still talking.

About that time, LJ arrived with the police and they shot him like 1000 times and he died.

Luv Bones - I have crazy nonsensical dreams too. They probably don't mean anything. I wonder what a psychic would tell you that the black pigs mean. :lmao

I could try to interpret for you, but honestly, I think they are just random dreams without a central intrepretation. You just happen to be remembering them, probably because they are so weird.

I have a lot of weird and random dreams that my husband always gets a kick out of.

If I were interpreting the dreams I would say for the baby dream that something unsettling in your habits has occured and is making you uncertain about what should be fundamental truths. Clearly, you should know if you've had a baby. You wouldn't forget that. Given that everyone else thinks it is true you are either questioning their truthfulness or your stability. The longer the indecision holds, the more likely you are to give in to what other people are telling you. If you are convinced within yourself (ie, you did not have the baby, and no amount of pictures changes that), then you see yourself as stable, but are distrustful of the world around you. You fear there has been a shift that everyone understands and acknowledges but you.

The second dream is similar. You are in safe circumstances, in safe company, and suddenly, you are in unfamiliar, unsafe territory. You can only puzzle your way out, but there are obstacles (the maze) in your way, and you fear even if you overcome those that you won't be able to figure things out. The world around you changed when you weren't looking, and you are frightened by the change, and unsure where you stand or how to move around in the new world.

I have no idea what the black pigs would mean. There is a whole lot of dream symbolism associated with animals - frankly, that's why I think these are random image dreams.

Keep in mind that your mind always tries to make sense of things. If your brain doesn't completely shut off, if there is conciousness remaining, it will try to make a storyline out of the random images it processes. It's called matrixing. When we encounter something new and unfamiliar, our mind tries to wedge it into a category that it understands. So when you are asleep, but still partially concious, you get random dream storylines. And that is probably why they are so vivid - because your mind is still partially awake, so your short term memory is still functioning and logging the images.

I really wouldn't worry about it unless you feel threatened or unsteady, or if the dreams continue, get worse or strange (if you feel like you are leaving your body or if you start talking in your sleep or sleepwalking) and they affect your sleep. Over the next few nights, make sure you don't eat spicy food before bed, take a few minutes to relax before bed. If it helps, drink some chamomile tea or sniff some lavendar oil. When you crawl into bed, take several deep breaths, and let your body relax. If you feel tense, go through each muscle area of your body and tense it for three seconds then release it, starting from your feet and working your way up to your head. It should help you relax and go to sleep easier.

hahaha funny :rolleyes

My dreams are not that obvious.

So many thing are happening in one second with so many meanings that it is scarry.

Most common
I've got many dreams about the war , and I have to run and hide...
The dreams on a ship during the storm...

One time I had a dreams about Sharks and they were repeating all the time...

One time I was dreaming about Rocky, you know I was fighting against him and in the morning I was beat up. Everything was hurting me.

I've had dreams that I was drowning and I've woken up choking and sputtering just when I was about to die in the dream. It's amazing what your mind can convince your body to believe. My friend Missy has had a million problems since her baby was born, but none of them until after about 9 weeks. Then she had dizziness, constant inability to focus, she couldn't eat or sleep well. She was tested for all sorts of neurological disorders and nothing came up. They finally sent her to a psychologist who told her that it was likely her problems were being caused by a deep seated resentment of her son. That her son was a high maintenance baby (very true), and her parents never cared for her (very true), and that she feels resentful that she never received the care she gives her son. That her mind was creating the symptoms in a weird twist to get the attention she needed. It sounds like melodramatic psyco-babble bullshit, but when she went into therapy, the symptoms stopped, and she and her son are healthy and happy now.

That was in there either because of the big deal ya'll make of them here, or the fact that I almost ran right up the ass of one the other day when it pulled out in front of me...it wasn't a white one, but still. :wow

I really don't care about cars ... and I don't like SUV's. I'd just be happy with a car who's "Service Engine Soon" light didn't just come on.

Seems like it was a good night for psychotic dreams. I had an insane one last night, too. There were lots of things turning into sand and there was a Napoleonic warship (that was out of water) as well as an Indian in the desert who gave me a lift on his horse to find my secretary who sang gospel.

I had a dream last night that involved some lady putting a black magic curse on me. There was a lot of chicken slaughtering, snake charming, and other random voodoo type acts flashing in my dream. It sucked.

I think I need to quit going to bed sober just pass-out everynight.

One time I had a dream I was being held hostage with some chick and the dude that kidnapped us grabbed her baby and threw it in an ant hill and made the lady with me watch it get eaten to death.

I actually thought that one was pretty cool because I got to go free.

Someone told me the pigs symbolize I'm overindulging in something.. that's probably true. http://spurstalk.com/forums/images/smilies/smiembarassed.gif Plus lately I've been so tired by the time I get home I just crash on my bed and fall asleep the moment my head hits the pillow. I can tell the difference between random dreams though and dreams that mean something.. they're completely different.

What does it mean if I have a dream that I'm sitting at my table eating iced strawberry pop tarts, when someone calls to tell me Justin Timberlake died and I break down because the death of Justin has left me so emotionally distraught?

To say the least these dreams are blase. If you want my honest opinion I think we should have a few drinks and make mad bi-ped sex until we pass out and have an entirely new set of dreams. Of course if you choose not to then it probably means that you are a lesbian. I mean after all I am rich and have a nice set of "tools" to work with.

Speaking of odd dreams, how is this for random?

I dreamt that Kori and L.J. were having a poker gtg outside. You were at a big table and there were a lot of posters there. I could hear them talking but couldn't see who all was playing.

Soon after I got there, someone had either won or you all were tired of playing.

The whole group, including me, got up moved over to a grassy field where we lined up shoulder to shoulder, arms length apart.
(I was at the end of the line by SW and Kori. )

Oldies music suddenly came on from somewhere.
I can't remember the song- only that I knew choreography to it from an aerobic video I had back in the day.

We were in the middle of a really fun dance party when I woke up.
