Malik 11 pts ; 11 rbds, 4th Q?

2 Pistons ejected? Why?

who really is the better coach-Larry Brown or Flip Saunders?

note: Clearly Detroit has the better line-up of players. No injuries here.

I feel the Piston's pain.

Losing to guys like the Hawks was painfull.

Seeing as the Knicks are worse than the Hawks.....

It's funny... Dice had a great first half when Sheed was still in the game(15 points on almost perfect shooting). So when Sheed was ejected I wasn't that worried. Then Dice comes up with 3 points in the entire 2nd half :rolleyes

Great win for New York. Technicals on both teams left and right, Sheed's first ejection as a Pistons. Always something positive comes out of these things. Sheed should have a nice 25-10 night whenver his next game is.

That was his first ejection as a Piston?!?!

Wow.

He has been on good behavior in Detroit.

Good influence by Hamilton, Wallace, and others obviously.

In Portland, he would get one tech, then just get another just because(Usually for something stupid like looking at a ref)

Here, he gets gets one after a bad call, then uses that to pump himself up.

Well, next T that Sheed gets will earn him a one game suspension, that's hardly good behaviour. Although it is impressive that it's his first ejection.

Rip and Sheed were so COOL tonight huh? What did they want? They want to be the best male artist in the LB-PISTONS drama?
Ok those two guys should be well rested for tmr's back to back game against the bobcat.

Wonder how many Piston's fans are wanting some of LBs defense back about now.

Remember when they were touting Flip because he had turned the lose to shoot the 3s?

Looks like that isn't working out too well either.

Pistons still have to face Suns, Mavs, Heat. If they don't get their act together the first half of this year has been for absolutely nothing.

How about a few reasons? Let me know when one fits.

1) Starters play a gazillion minutes.
2) Weak bench
3) Unprofessional, tempermental players
4) Bad coach that they don't respect
5) That maybe, just maybe, they're not the greatest team in the history of basketball...

How about 6) All of the above?

False. None are even in the top 39 in the league in minutes played. This is a lame excuse at this point. Chauncey plays the most at 36.8mpg, and he's an MVP candidate. That's actually pretty low.

2) Weak bench
False. The bench kept us in this one. In fact, the starters started the game slow, then Dice/Delk/Evans built a 16 point lead. It was the starters that blew the lead at the end of the 2nd and beginning of the third. The bench has been great since getting Delk. The starters have been the ones slacking.

3) Unprofessional, tempermental players
Rip and Sheed can get carried away, True. They certainly didn't get any favors tonight though. If you get my drift. This is Sheed's first ejection as a Piston, so it's not like it's a common problem.

4) Bad coach that they don't respect
Possibly, but I don't read minds, and I'm guessing you don't either. It's not like these guys never got Techs or lost games under their previous coaches.

5) That maybe, just maybe, they're not the greatest team in the history of basketball...
I think we all know this.

Malik did it against the Piston's bigs.

Don't think thats more impressive than doing it against Boris Diaw.

Why Detroit lost to NY: We felt bad for all the drama LB's been going through, and we wanted to give him a win? OK how about because for 2 months the Pistons have been playing like shit.
