Anyone know where in town I can get some?
I already have these:

But I don't like them. They are uncomfortable.
I am looking for the ones that go around your waist...more comfortable.
I think they look like this:

Thanks for any info!

Ask someone to get them on base.
They were very uncomfy. I had a couple snap back on me when they weren't secured properly. Around the waist is prob better.
How goes the new career?
Best of luck again man.

I can't see your first pic...but the ones you show in your second pic don't go around your waist. They still just clip to your shirt tail (front and back) and your socks. But they work well...pretty heavy construction. (I used to wear them when I was in the AF)
I've never heard of the kind that go around your waist...

I didn't think anybody not in the military wore those. I wore them in the Corps to keep me looking sharp but I never wore the ones around the waist.
You can probably find the stays that fit around your waist by going to the U.S. Calvary or Brigade Quartermasters website.
One good trick without the stays is to tuck your undershirt into your skivvies. that'll help keep the outer shirt from riding up.

Most people don't know this, but you can cut the legs off a pair of panty hose (so that they look like shorts, leave a little of the legs) and tuck your shirt into this. The texture of the panty hose keeps your shirt tucked in nicely. A lot of military guys do this. I dated two marines who did it (both were recruiters) and one AF MSgt who worked for a general. Works like a charm and no one knows.

WAY BACK WHEN
WHEN I WAS IN ROTC WE USED A REGULAR (THIN) BELT UNDER OUR PANTS TO KEEP THE SHIRT DOWN. IT SEEMED A LITTLE STRANGE BUT IT WORKED
Buy a shirt that fits then.
I had the shirt i was issued and had it taylored to fit.
Was not expensive at all, but like i said it was way back when, then i found the shirt would stay tucked with out the belt.

Tucked in, no.
Tucked in tightly...that takes work.

Tightly as in you can't breath? Walking around like that would take some work. Looking at most of the SAPD, ANY shirt would be tight. :lol

No, tightly as in it doesn't start to "balloon" out at the belt line from normal movement.

Thank you SB. I wouldn't worry much about Z... He knew I was out of town at my uncles funeral and didn't even start up a thread about how much he missed me :lol
