The Utah Jazz, who are only about 1 or 2 games out of the playoffs and the 8th spot.

They look damn good tonight.

The defense looks tough, the shooting is awesome.

A healthy Boozer has made all the difference, and Derron Williams looks fantastic on defense and has 14 points 11 assists.

If the Spurs get the top spot and have to face UTAH, it could take 6 games to beat em.

Sacramento would be a much tougher out than Utah.

They match up well with an Amareless/Thomasless Suns team. They have three very good power forwards playing heavy minutes.

They match up well with the Spurs too.

The Jazz are a good team, their only down fall is their lack of depth at the SG position.

Wish they would take a trade of Barry, Nesterovic for Boozer.

You realize the Jazz are playing AK a lot at the 2 guard now?

That's a tough matchup.

Im not worried about the jazz we can beat them on any day when it counts, only team i dont wanna face is teh kings in the first round, they pretty much match up well with us, but the chances of them winnin against us if artest is sane.

Today the jazz pretty much made marion/nash look like trash, mvp candidate prentenders.

You guys are underestimating Utah.

BTW,

Inside the NBA had a couple of gems.

Barkley said the Spurs have a 2 game lead on the Mavericks :wtf

Kenny Smith said "Mohammed adds energy, adds offense, he can go to the low post, he can play defense

I about fell of my chair.

Kenny thinks he plays good D?!?!?

:rolleyes

Steve Nash:
20 points
10 assists
6 rebounds
2 steals
8-12 FG

It clearly wasn't Steve Nash's fault tonight. The Suns didn't have a single player shooting well from the perimeter, and they chucked up a lot of 3-pointers. They were also outrebounded by 19, due to the big 3: Okur, Boozer, and Kirilenko owned the Suns' usually dominant small lineup. The Jazz just did a fantastic job of exploiting the Suns' weaknesses in the 2nd half. Great game by Utah.

Assuming they win tonight (no sure deal as we all know), SA effectively has a 2-game lead, 1 up plus the tiebreaker ... just like the Pistons effectively have a 2-game lead over SA for best record.

No comment on Kenny :smokin

Fear Utah?
Fear Sacramento?

You guys DO realize the Spurs have only lost 6 games in conference ALL season, right?

You know they've only lost a SINGLE game in conference when they had at least 1 night's rest? (31-1)

FEAR NO-ONE.

I agree.

Not that I think the Spurs should fear Utah, but if they could put it together consistently game after game, they'd be a very tough squad.

Getting Boozer back is a huge plus. He along w/ Memo and AK47 is one hell of a trio.

They bring a nice combo of size/athleticism/ and outside scoring.

In another year or two...assuming they can keep all the core guys happy...they will be one of the better teams in the L.

The Utah Jazz looked very good last night, but they can't take out the Spurs in a seven game series.

You are basing this on the Jazz playing a team that plays little or no defense. The Spurs have owned Utah, what make you think that will change in the playoffs....if the Jazz make it?

The Hawks beat the Spurs and Pistons....and the Knicks beat the Pistons....does that make them "dangerous" teams.

I think you and other are OVERestimating the Jazz.

They given the Spurs plenty of trouble in the past few seasons, especially Memet Ohkur (sp?). When the season started I had them pegged for a playoff spot if they could stay healthy. If Boozer is back at 100% I don't see why they couldn't make a run at the eight spot.
