Sung to the tune of Big Bad John

Ev'ry mornin' at the Staples you could see him arrive
He stood six foot ten and weighed two forty five
Kinda narrow at the shoulder and narrow at the hip
And everybody knew ya didn't give no lip to Big Bob.
(Big Bob, Big Bob) Big Bad Bob (Big Bob)
Everybody seemed to know where Bob called home
He drifted into town but he stayed all alone
He didn't say much, kinda quiet and shy
And if you spoke at all, you just said "Hi" to Big Bob.
Somebody said he came from Arizona
Where he got in a fight over a former teammate
And a crashin' blow from a huge white towel
Sent a ‘Bama fellow to LA Land-Big Bob
(Big Bob, Big Bob) Big Bad Bob (Big Bob)
Then came the day at the bottom of the game
When the fLakers cracked and men started cryin'
C-ubby's sons were prayin' and hearts beat fast
And everybody thought that they'd breathed their last-'cept Bob
Through the dust and the smoke of this man-made h-ell
Walked a giant of a man that the fLakers knew well
Grabbed a caromed sphere, gave out with a groan
And like a giant oak tree he just stood there alone-Big Bob
(Big Bob, Big Bob) Big Bad Bob (Big Bob)
And with all of his strength he gave a mighty shove
Then a fLaker yelled out "There's a light up above!"
And eleven men scrambled from a would-be grave
Now there's only one left down there to save-Big Bob
With Daddy & Son they commissed back down
Then came that rumble & Jersey humbled
A Colorado brownie and child named Kobe
And everybody knew it was the end of the line for Robert Horry
(Big Bob, Big Bob) Big Bad Bob (Big Bob)
Now they never reopened that worthless pit
They just traded different parts away from it
These few words are extracted from that consecrated time out
”Chris, don’t leave Horry nary a second.”
(Big Bob, Big Bob) Big Bad Bob (Big Bob)
[Fade]
(Big Bob, Big Bob) Big Bad Bob (Big Bob)
