It's one freaking game... The Piston's schedule is not very kind the next few weeks.

Don't you have some Pistons forum to post at, and then wait 30 minutes for a reply.

It's a good night for the Pistons, but I want them to get through this stretch of 9 games (Through April 6th) with two losses or less before I would be willing to declare HCA throughout.

Miami - W
@ Indiana
New Jersey
(1st B2B) Dallas
(2nd B2B) @ Philadelphia
Milwaukee
Phoenix
New Orleans
@ Miami

The Spurs are only 3 games behind (53-15 with Pistons holding tiebreaker), the Mavs 2 games behind (53-15). A bad week, with 4 weeks to go, and this is a dead-heat again.

A good night for the Pistons, nothing to brag about yet.

They'll beat the Mavs and the Suns easily.

I'd be pissed if they lost any of those home games, but that's not the point. They haven't done it yet, and the last thing I want to see is a thread in two weeks chastizing Pistons fans for celebrating too early because a few of us act like we haven't been there before.

You'll see it anyway.

They should lose 3 more games. At Miami, Philly and ?

They might beat the mavs but it is not going to be easy. If the Mavs can stay healthy they are a serious threat to the spurs.

Interesting note about the 3 teams fighting for the best record...
Detroit's last 10: 7-3
Dallas' last 10: 7-3
San Antonio's last 10: 7-3

It's going to be a fun last month when April comes around.

smell it all you can. It's on it's way to San Antonio.

You've had a comfortable lead in the HCA for quite some time now. I think the Pistons will probably end up with best overall record also. Spurs will probably come short 1 or 2 games...which makes losses to the Hawks, Wiz, and Sixers more sucky.

^Either way, if the Spurs and Pistons match up in the Finals...not sure if HCA will make that much of a difference. Last year the Spurs had it...yet it still came to 7 games...and for 3 quarters of that 7th game, it was still pretty close. Not that I wouldn't mind seeing the Spurs have it. :)

You'd better pray. It's the only chance they have.

Pistons' schedule will be downright brutal for the next week or two. the toughest might be the games against the mavs, heat, and suns. 2nd of back to backs against Philly and Orlando (which comes the day after the Miami game!) :pctoss I hope the pistons get HCA, but it isn't gonna be easy.

A good night for the Pistons, nothing to brag about yet.

Miami - W (82-73) - clinched outright Division title.
@ Indiana - W (75-72)
New Jersey - L (74-79)
(1st B2B) Dallas - W (97-90)
(2nd B2B) @ Philadelphia - W (101-91)
Milwaukee - W (112-105)
Phoenix - W (109-102) - clinched number one seed in Conference
New Orleans - W (101-93) - Second team in franchise history to win 60 games in a season.
@ Miami - W (95-82) - Broke franchise record for road wins in a season.

The Pistons emerged with a 8-1 record, 61-14 overall. The Spurs are 4 games back of the Pistons with seven games to go. It can be done, but I feel much more comfortable saying the Pistons can see the goal of number one overall today than on March 22nd.

@ Orlando
vs. Indiana
vs. Cleveland
@ Toronto (No Chris Bosh)
vs. New York
@ Milwaukee
vs. Washington

If the Pistons don't go at least 4-3 (the Spurs need 4 Piston losses), something will be wrong.

It's probably unseemly to gloat on somebody else's board, but "unseemly" is my middle name.
