I've been on a bitching tirade lately about Tim's poor performances and the Spur's lack of effort but now I've got a sad truth to face:
No matter how much I complain about Tim's poor performances, it's not going to bring the old Timmy back. He seems content with taking around 10 shots a game and putting up once-unthinkably low scoring numbers as long as his team wins. And now I've got to have that mentality too. The Spurs are set for a franchise record season this year with Tim and Manu obviously not at 100%, which is almost unbelievable.
Being a Spurs fan I think I've become spoiled and almost expect my team to win the championship every year and I sometimes forget that other teams have it way worse (portsland anyone?). But at the same time there is never an excuse for poor effort from a professional basketball team. And when it all comes down to it, effort is all I really want from this team. It's all most sports fans want from their teams. It just so happens that when this team puts forth effort they're almost unbeatable.
With all of this having been said, I know in my heart that the Spurs will turn it up in the playoffs and win another championship. I also know that Tim will definetely put up much better numbers than what he's putting up now.
