That's what the bench provided last night against the Clips.

I thought last night showed what this team is capable of when the players are motivated and play hard. And if our bench can provide numbers anywhere close to that efficient in the playoffs I don't think there is a team out there that can beat us.

I give the team as a whole an A+ for effort last night, and there have probably only been a handful of games that I could say that for this season.

This is a more talented team than the one that won the championship last season going against other teams that haven't improved as much as the Spurs, personnel-wise. The only concern I have about their ability to win the championship is their ability to flip the switch and play up to their capability rather than down to the level of their competition.

SPAM!

My only concern is their rebounding.

If they fix that, everything else will fall into place.

and RBs were +3 last night, vs Chris, Elton, Cory.

Just another good point last night among many other good points.

The question is to sustain last night's effort. I think the Spurs will have no problem getting motivated for @Lakers, esp after losing to Lakers@ATT.

Maggette had 11

Kaman had 8

how many did Brand have??

What was VERY key to blowing them out, was, IMO, keeping the Clippers off the offensive boards.

That and horrible D on Sam Cassell is what lost the game back in mid march.

I guess all that talk about Brand > Duncan was a little premature. Since Duncan beat or tied him in every category, including rebounding.

In less minutes to boot.

IMO, Timmy showed some 03 esque Duncan moves.

The spins to the basket, the floating hook.

That driving teardrop off the glass.

And of course, that beatifull in the corner bank shot.

It was a thing of beauty.

I would disagree.

This team can do better than last night.

There were still some bad things done that can be cleaned up.

This team can do WAY better, no question.

So I will respectfully disagree with that statement.

Rasho had the best rebounding rate out of any Spur last night-- how often do we see that?!

The bench is talented, no doubt about it, but has yet to be consistent as a group over the season. Perhaps it's due to Pop's inexplicable rotations and use of his players.

But all that being said, the bench usually has at least one player come up big on any given night--and that's why wee're ahead of the the best ever games won pace.

Particuly impressive off the bench since the All-Star break has been Michael Finley.

In 19 games since the AS break he has double figures in 11 games, 20+ in 3 games and made 2 or more 3P shots in 10 games.
