the Spurs would play Sacramento.

In how many games do the Spurs win?

IMO, 5.

but an extremely tough 5.

Sacramento could be the best number 8 seed in NBA history.

5 sounds about right ... on paper Spurs should sweep, but they'd lose one via a combination of boredom/lethargy

Yeah, right.

The Spurs win every position but one. They have a better bench and their coaching staff is about five times better.

This one's no sweat.

win games 1-3, lose 4, win 5.

onto Dallas :lol

It'll be tough though with Artest guarding Ginobili, Miller and Rahim doubling Duncan

Bibby making outside shots along with Garcia, Artest, Miller and Rahim.

I think Denver last year was a tougher match. Sacramento is pretty good, but they've gotten over people a bit because they sucked so bad before Artest got there.

I'd actually enjoy this one, though. We've never faced the Kings in the playoffs.

Sacto?

4 no doubt. They will be tired of that end regular season run. And they still incosistent and their D is what won't give them a win vs the spurs. (Asuming the spurs progres)

That was way more the Sonics underachieving.

tie between Sacrametno and Phoenix of 03 as the best 8th seeds.

Denver was a 7th seed last year.

watching bowen kick artest in his grill would b tight

If that happened, Artest would pull the shank out of his sock and give Bowen 4 quick jabs in the throat.

Hopefully, I can get a ticket to Arco to see the Kings off. This thing would go five. The Kings are staggering after that lost to Washington the other night. They play GS tomorrow and if they lose, they better watch out for Utah.

Yeah :)

You know - I will remember his name to the rest of my life. Since I learned it about 10 years ago. (watching same stuff again and again - that's how I loved NBA)

It may end up being Spurs-Clippers in the second round. The way the Mavs are playing, the Clippers may end up with the upset.

The Suns Nuggets series would be fun to watch. I think the suns win in 7.

Said player has improved their team defense, but they play a very horizontal game; not too many athletes on their roster. I think the Kings will be easier to knock off than people give them credit for. I'd expect to see either Ginobili or Parker have a bad series, depending on who said player guards. But that's why Finley and Van Exel were brought into the fold.

What about the 99 NNY Knicks

I was wondering when someone might mention those guys.

They remain the lowest-seeded team to ever reach the NBA Finals.

If the "best #8 seed" is determined at all by how a team played in the playoffs, there can be no debate that the 1999 Knicks were the best #8 team ever.

I would find it interesting if the Kings put Artest on Tony Parker. I'm not sure if Artest is quick enough for Parker, but he might beat him up a little bit. If Bonzi Wells can hold his own on Ginobili and Mike Bibby can guard Bruce Bowen, then that might be an interesting match-up, Artest-Parker. Brad Miller might end up defending Duncan more so than Shareef-Kenny Thomas.

There are a lot of interesting match-ups that might happen.

With all that said, I would still expect a Spurs sweep. But, Mike Bibby might have one great game to pull out a win.
