Sun 9 Houston
Tue 11 Phoenix

That's not a back to back for Sac.

I would like to see NO/Oka in the playoffs, after being displaced and everything else. Just don't think it's gonna happen.

Part of me wishes the Spurs would fall to 4th and pick up the Clippers in the first round. they are scary and maybe just the good swift kick in the arse the Spurs need to put them on their toes. If Pop starts to rest peeps, it could happen. Doubt it, but its possible.

Thanks for the post, I been meaning to check all this up but have just been to lazy. I think reasonable expectations for each team are --

Sacramento - Probably 4-4 but real possibility of 3-5.

New Orleans - Probably 4-6 but possibly 3-7.

Utah - Probably 4-5 but could go 5-4.

Really close, if one team gets hot and can win some away games against the good teams, it could be very interesting.

TPark, that wine is looking good right now. Utah is in dire straights.

One discovery this little research exposed was that for Spurs' remaining 2 B2Bs, the Spurs' second game:

1) is @ATT

2) is also second of B2B for the opponent, where the first game is @Mavs. :lol :lol :lol

Sacramento will get it, I predict. They're just the better team. The game against San ANtonio will be critical to sending a message to them - but I believe it's a B2B for us, too.

New Orleans is good, but not a threat. Utah could be scary, if they steal it from Sacramento. But I don't think they will.

I think the Spurs should win 4-1 no matter who they play in the first round.

The western conference will be tough, as it is every year.

Dallas and Phoenix, or god forbid, the Nuggets, will all be hard to beat, and the Spurs will have to play their best ball at the right moments.

Sacramento won't choke away a 2 1/2 game lead for the eighth spot at this point.

Pencil them in.

Sac is 14 - 23 on the road and could very probably lose
@Mavs,
@Spurs,
@Clips,
@Nuggs.

8th seed is WIDE OPEN.

i think utah would give us the hardest time but i doubt they get the 8th seed

i agree, we'll probably beat whoever 4-1 in rd 1

Once we get the 1st seed locked up and dallas locked up, should both teams rest there players or play on so teams like jazz kings and noh will have to fight it out if they want the 8th spot.

Friday night is big night for bottom of WC seedings:

Toronto @ NO/Okla. City
Utah @ Minnesota
L.A. Lakers @ Phoenix
Sacramento @ L.A. Clippers

If Lakes lose and Sac wins, they will be tied, but Sac will 7th, and Lakers will be 8th, since Sac has the better WC record.

Utah is very probably out of it, as TNT pointed out last night:

L.A. Lakers 7 40 36
Sacramento 8 39 37
=================================
NO/Oklahoma City 36 38
Utah 35 39

==================

Actually, I think the Hornets don't have a chance:

Fri 7 Toronto
Sat 8 @ Dallas

Mon 10 Cleveland

Wed 12 Seattle

Fri 14 Utah

Sun 16 @ Sacramento
Mon 17 @ Phoenix

Wed 19 @ L.A. Lakers

Personally I hope the Lakers fall to 8. It is always fun to beat up on the Lakers.

Kobe scores 51, Lakers humiliated @Suns, fall to 8th seed.

Sacramento 7 40-37 0.519 18.5 26-21 10-5 24-13 16-24 6-4 Won 2
L.A. Lakers 8 40-37 0.519 18.5 22-25 6-7 22-14 18-23 6-4 Lost 2

Kings win the tie-breaker of unbeatably better WC record of 26-21.

Hornets are one game out of 8th, but they have a horrilbe schedule from here on out.

Also, I think the Lakers are the worst possible matchup for the Spurs simply because Kobe Bryant is capable of winning a couple of games on his own. I would much rather play the other teams. My hope is that the Hornets can catch them.

Hornets have NO chance for the playoffs.
