have you played the spurs while they have played their best basketball? ... No and the regular season doesn't mean anything

Beating the Spurs by 15 twice in the regular season sounds pretty good.

Beating a team 4-3 in the playoff Finals sounds even better to most sports fans, wouldn't you say? The Pistons have some work to do, yet.

this thread is stupid, but that's a pretty meaningless statement. you can always just say the spurs weren't playing their best basketball any time they lose.

Beating the Spurs in the middle of winter, in a couple of games that they didn't seem to show up for, is not as much fun as beating a motivated Suns team in April. But it's all just regular season; you win some, you lose some. (Okay, you win most, and lose a small handful, but still.....)

Same can be said for the Pistons whenever they lose!!!

Get it right: The Pistons only win when the officials help them out, key players on the other team were injured, or the other team was tired...

QFT

Most inflated 59 win team in history. I would say 30 of those were due to injury to the other team, 10 were given by the refs, and 5 were due to the other team being on a B2B.

Really, they only won 14 games.

:rolleyes

very true, which is probably why I didn't make the claim in question in the first place.

Luck is the key to the Pistons playoff success. If you don't believe me, just ask Heat and Pacer Fan...

also we intentionally injure their players or pay players on other teams to do it for us.

You better pray to GOD that Utah doesn't make it to the finals...

This board is above these kinds of threads. Go mess with people on the ESPN boards or something.

Not important games overall, just a little sweeter regular season wins.
