I did. I love the UFC/Pride shit. Thats fighting, thats toughness. These guys are bad-asses.

Matt Hughes would be the ost dominant ever if he could improve his striking.

I can't believe Sylvia beat Orlovski.

Arlovski wasn't that great early on vs submission specialists & now he had proven something that no one ever had the chance to test, he doesn't have a great chin. He is so quick & powerful he usually puts other strikers down very quickly. He walked into Sylvia's punch as well.

Thats because Sylvia pwns. Go team America (lol)

Arlovski will be back though.

Im not being sarcastic, but do you really think so? Or were you being sarcastic?

Gracie was awesome, dont get me wrong. But against Hughes?!

He obviously chose his competition carefully (Hughes not being a good striker). Gracie wouldnt fight a Lidell or Sylvia. I mean, those guys would tear him apart.

I dont know. I always found Gracie fights to be very boring, but certainly, he was awesome.

----

Remember when the UFC didnt have weight classes? That shit was out of control! They used to introduce fights with something like "Mui-Tai vs Karate" then say the fighters' names. pre-WWE Shamrock, Gracie, The Beast, Tank Abbot, that awesome Hispanic kid that frickin owned everyone (got it! Vitor Belfort!).

I remember watching that white guy with a mullet fight some 7ft 600lb asian mug. It was hilarious. The big guy charged, mullet-man caught him square on the chin, big guy falls literally on his ass so as his head is just below shoulder level for mullet-man, Power Mullet then pummels this dudes face with reckless abandon.

Home boy never did get off his ass. Pretty brutal fight.

i don't think there has been anyone better than royce in his prime. Now he's older so who knows, but if he can bring anything close to what he used to he'll have a great shot. IMO in his prime he would destroy hughs.

Emin Boztepe is and probably was the best fighter in the world in Gracie's prime. He was never in UFC, but offered to fight Gracie to prove he would beat him. Gracie said he would fight him in the UFC but only if he paid $250,000 or something like that.

Boztepe didn't agree because he fights with no rules and said he wasn't going to pay all that money to kick Gracie's ass.

Didn't ufc have open tournies back when Gracie was in his prime? So couldn't Boztepe have just entered a tourney? Anyway some people will argue rickson gracie was the best.

From what I have been told, Si Fu Emin Boztepe does not fight with rules and I'm pretty sure that is right since he has been a leader in promoting Wing Tzun and refining it.

In Wing Tzun, there are no rules.

An interesting side story is that Emin punked out William Chueng at one of Chueng's own seminars. Chueng was a supposed den mark master I believe, which is where he can supposedly kill somebody by 5 strikes or taps or something like that. Emin was tired about hearing all this, attended the seminar, and just kind of slapped him around.

Emin might be the best street fighter ever, but in the organized sport of UFC I've never seen anyone better than Gracie.

I was never trying to detract Gracie's records. By no means. His undefeated streak speaks for itself....very LOUDLY.

But, I thought he was boring. Thats all.
