then all of this worry crap will be over until playoff time. We won't catch the Pistons, yet a win over Dallas will mean a near certain lock on the number one seed in the West. That way, Tim and company can get a little more time on the bench and heal themselves for the real season.

We are SPURTACUS!!! :elephant

I agree - we did not have the best record last year and had HCA in the finals.

We did well in the WC. This year we should be on pace to still have a good look at the Finals without HCA against the Pistons should they not get upset.

The funny thing is all the fans whose teams are in the playoffs feel their team can upset any of the "locks"

Watching tonight's game makes it worthwhile - enjoying the drama and suspense and the letdowns as well as the ass whoopings we are known for handing out.

We just got a little taste of what the rest of the league gets.

We are still on track for one hell of a regular season!

haha, the way your team played tonight you should just worry about not meeting the kings should they get the 8th seed...you might not even make it to the second round where the mavs will be waiting...the spurs got SPURSpwned tonight!!!

It was one stupid loss. But whatever...The one thing that separates San Antonio and the rest of the West is that --with the Shaq-Lakers gone, everyone else is a pretender. San Antonio thinks they can afford these losses--and rightfully so, even when the other team was doing the blowing out, CIA Pop took the opportunity to use it as an excuse for "earned" minutes of rest for Manu, Tim and Tony ...Can you believe that?

Yeah, the Lakers thought they could coast through the season because they kept patting themselves on the back with the fact that they were a *playoff* built team...then they ran into the Pistons.

BTW, that has got to be the gayest pic of two nba ballers i've ever seen. thanks, i'll use it on the mavtalk forum!

Earth to Mavs fans turn on the Clippers game and watch the team that will give you trouble before the Spurs absolutely manhandle them.

Bad Team Chemistry. Spurs don't underestimate their opponents. They treat them all equally.

Don't get smart mavs fan.

53-7 with a day or two off in between games.

Plus who is to say Detroit is a lock for the EC Finals. While Det is certainly the favorite, if Heat pull off the EC then the Spurs may have Finals homecourt afterall.

oh i hope that we see SAC in the playoffs. just like last year when the nuggets thought they were all that when they beat us towards the end of the season. and then we creamed them in the playoffs. the kings will see a whole different SA team in 2 weeks. as for your pathetic self, you need to worry about friday.

Actually my happiness will be selling Spurs tix to Spurs fans at over 200% profits because we all know Spurs fans just go to the games to get sloshed...oh yeah, AND selling all my second round tickets to SBC games to Mavericks fans will be happiness too.

If SA beat Dallas not only will they regain a three-game lead over the Mavericks in the loss column -- the Spurs will come into the game with 17 losses, the Mavericks 19 losses -- they will clinch the head-to-head tie-breaker with the Mavericks.
The Spurs have beaten the Mavericks twice in three games, and Friday's game will end the season series between the division rivals.
should the Spurs win that would mean the Spurs would have to lose four more games than the Mavericks in the six regular season games that will remain for both teams after it concludes-and that would be impossible-4 losses out of 6 remaining games? :nope

Can you not all see the Mavs fans spinning their thoughts and saying we beat the Kings by 20 or so and the Spurs lost by 10 = we are 30 points better.

Not. Spurs will come out motivated and not on a back to back at home.

Spurs will take this one and then we will move onto clinching and resting for the playoffs.
