Learn how to make an Italian dish and you're instructor is gorgeous...there is nothing wrong with that show. She has some over-the-top gesticulations, though. She looks into the camera too much, and sometimes I think she's just too happy. But I love to see her briskly whip something in a bowl. :)

As for Rachel Ray...I don't see a problem with her. She's very perky so I have to be in the mood to watch her (you'll throw something at the TV if you hear that nasal whine too early in the morning), and she talks waaay too fast, but her shows are informative.

I like Giada, too, and I have used several of her recipes. I guess I've used more of Paula Deen's and Rachel's recipes then anyone's, although I have used a couple of Sandra Lee's (I love her shortcuts on "Almost Homemade"). I really don't care what the female chefs looks like. I just watched her 30 minute Meal show for the first time a few weeks ago. I must admit, the first couple of times I watched it, I really liked her. However, the more shows I watched, the more annoying she got. She seems waaaaaaaaaay too happy and perky cooking a damn meal in the kitchen. And I HATE when she does that thing where she talks out of the side of her mouth like she's trying to have a personable conversation with you through the TV. :lol

(March 13) -- Is Rachael Ray's media free-for-all slowing down to the point where her daytime show might get canceled?

An "impeccable" source at Page Six says that the boisterous cook-host may have her daily 'Rachael Ray' show yanked at the end of her contract. "They are seriously talking about taking her off the air," the source said.

The source says the trouble behind the scenes is Ray's Ratings, which have dropped from a 2.5 rating at her debut to a 2.0 now. "Anything below a 2.0 is asking for trouble," the Page Six source said.

Another contributor could be Ray's costly set and activities. According to the source, Ray's set "is very expensive and elaborate," -- ovens, cooktops, props -- whereas 'Dr. Phil' just has chairs on his set.

Ray's rep, however, is standing firm. "Our show is renewed through 2010 — so canceling is not an option," the rep told Page Six.

Page Six reports that if Ray is indeed canceled, Marie Osmond is in talks to take over her timeslot.

Ray's Food Network shows like '30 Minute Meals' on which she built her empire will not be affected by anything that happens to her daytime show. Her magazine, 'Every Day With Rachael Ray,' will also be unscathed by any daytime show developments.

Yes, the Rachael Ray SXSW party is happening. And, holy fuck, Holy Fuck are actually playing it. (They are referred to as "Holy *&%$" on the SXSW website.) As are the Raveonettes, the Stills, Scissors for Lefty, some band called Autovaughn, and the Cringe, which happens to be Rachael Ray's husband's band. The Ettes are not playing, as previously reported. Efren Ramirez-- aka Pedro from Napoleon Dynamite-- is DJing.

The thing is happening on Saturday, March 15 from noon to 6 p.m. at Beauty Bar. It's described by the SXSW website as "...a feast of hot bands and tasty foods, hosted by America's favorite cook and indie music lover, Rachael Ray...Drinks on us and lots of Rachael's Tasty Recipies."

Well I think she's a cutie and i like her show---don't love it. I've tried so many of her recipes that are so good; I even got myself a TV and cable for my kitchen so I can cook along side her!!

I love her recipes, but I can't stand the way she talks ... so I've got most of her cookbooks. :lol

Gastronomical blowhard Anthony Bourdain took off the oven mitts and voiced his disdain for Dunkin’ Donuts shill Rachael Ray. In a recent interview with Outside magazine, the “Kitchen Confidential” chef spewed harsh words about the foodie superstar and her choice to plug the fried-dough-selling food chain.

“She's got a magazine, a TV empire, all these best-selling books — I'm guessing she's not hurting for money,” Anthony ranted re: Rachael in a portion of the interview republished in the New York Post’s Page Six. “She's hugely influential, particularly with children. And she's endorsing Dunkin’ Donuts. It's like endorsing crack for kids.”

The crotchety cook made it clear he’s not coming from some moral high ground. “I'm not a very ethical guy,” Anthony said. “I don't have a lot of principles. But somehow that seems to me over the line. Juvenile diabetes has exploded. Half of Americans don't have necks. And (Rachael’s) up there saying, ‘Eat some [bleeping] Dunkin' Donuts. You look great in that swimsuit — eat another doughnut!’ That's evil.”

But Rachael’s peeps disagree. Page Six quotes her rep as adding, “Her work addressing kids’ and families’ nutritional needs speaks for itself so we respectfully disagree with Anthony's opinion.”
