Why are they the team to beat? Detroit is going down because the nets put 14 W's together in a row and now they are the dominate team, OK.

Nets are 46-28 and the pistons are 61-14 and lots of teams have put 14 W's
in a row. That does not make them champions. I am sure to the Nets fans that it is a rush, thats good for you, until the playoffs start. A matchup between Detroit and New Jersey would be bad for the nets because of home court advantage and the pistons are solid at home 34-3, not to mention the best team in the NBA.

Relax, its just message board speak. All in good fun, and besides whether you want to believe it or not the Nets know you guys very well in terms of strengths and weaknesses and they proved last month they can win on your court. Obviously playoffs are another story but it would not shock me at all to see you guys face the nets instead of the heat.

All joking aside, the Pistons fans better hope the Pistons don't meet the Nets in the playoffs. The Nets matched up really well against the Pistons this season. Yes, I know the record was 2-2, but look at the Nets defensive numbers in those games.

I keep saying this, but no one seems to agree with me. Nets don't have a bench...and to go through 2 or 3 rounds in the playoffs with a weak bench can end up costing them.

NERDS - Nets Exposed, Rare Detroit Sweep...

The Nets are a tougher match-up than the Heat because they have a consistent 3rd scoring option and Nenad is better than Haslem. They could beat the Pistons, but they'd have to play near perfect to do so...

yea, but the Pistons starting 5 owns the Spurs starting 5 at basically every position. and the Spurs bench is full of streaky shooters. dont expect anything from Finley in the playoffs. he never did much for Dallas, except in that series they were down 0-2 and upset the Jazz.

I wasn't talking about the Pistons vs the Spurs. I was making a joke with our resident Pistons fans about the Pistons' bench. Their bench has actually gotten a big boost from Delk.

Are you people high??

Detroit might give up a game in that series. Winning 14 straight in the regular season means almost nothing.
