The Spurs not having a real free throw coach is not about being cheap. It's probably because Duncan's free throw shooting would probably get worse if he had a free throw coach because he'd overthink it.

you know duncan shot in the 80% range his first MVP season (2002) when he averaged 25.5 ppg. Just think if he did that last year he would easily have averaged 28 ppg

Maybe they need a psycoligist rather than a free throw coach. I just don't understand this mental block stuff with Bowen and Tim. Rasho just needs to take two steps back and shoot a jumper.

90% of what a free throw coach does is psychological. The rest is mechanics.

I just don't buy that having someone fix Tim's problem would make him more of a headcase. For someone with a psych degree he sure as hell isn't doing a good job on himself.
