Magic trade away Francis and **gasp........they get better! winners of 8 out of 9, including wins over Detroit and Miami.
Yet again, another team can thank Isaih Thomas and his brillant mind.

Yeah, I think it's more about adding Arroyo and Darko, not to mention getting Jameer Nelson back from his injury rather than trading away Francis. Although, I would think getting rid of Francis's ballhog play and bad attitude certainly helped.

Looks like the Pistons will be getting a mid-first round pick next year for Darko. The Magic should be in the hunt for the playoffs next year.

Doesn't Hedo always play well in the regular season? It's just in the playoffs that he becomes a quivering twat and retreats like a Frenchman.

Getting rid of Francis = addition by subtraction. Gives everyone else a much better opportunity when he isn't out there hogging all the shots. Doesn't hurt that they just got Jameer back healthy and Hedo is absolutely tearing it up.

I've also noticed how well Hedo is doing since mid-March. His RBs and ASTs are pretty weak vs his Spurs stats.
Magic have 6 current players 9.5+ PPG.
They've come together well in the late season. Too bad about Grant Hill, who might have gotten them to the playoffs.
Spurs better be ready to play Thursday.

Hedo was that long 3 who could defend on the perimeter and rebound. I think his defense and rebounding were underappreciated by fans who only saw the shooting slump he hit late that season that extended into the play-offs.

Magic are handling the Hawks easily @ORL.
Hedo looks so much more relaxed and confident than he ever did with the Spurs.
Dwight and Darko as bigs
Hedo as long 3
Jameer as PG
Deshawn as SG.
Quite a bit of talent there, well balanced, gelling well at the end of the season.

They are missing a backcourt star, in my opinion. None of their top 5 or 6 players excel in scoring consistently. But that's all they are missing. Everything else can be solved through cheap free agents with veteran leadership. Jameer, Hedo, Dwight, and Darko - those are the guys they should build around.

I was sorry to see Hedo go but I'm really happy for him.
Joining the Magic was the right move for Hedo- it's a great fit for him- shows in the way he is playing.

Considering that his inability to hit the broad side of a barn was the primary reason the Spurs got assraped by an inferior team in the playoffs, I have a hard time saying, "Well, he was a good rebounder."
