Is it true we missed on Chapu because someone had miscalculated his age?
He has been stepping it up this year, and even more during the last months, with all the pressure of trying to make it to the playoffs. Over the past 7 games his numbers are pretty impressive: 19.6 ppg and 13.4 boards while shooting 47%.
I know timvp does not like him, but he hustles like crazy (a la Manu) and he was a pretty cheap pick up for th Bulls.

Nocioni is an animal.
20 points, 17 rebounds last night vs. Nets, and they won.
How many consecutive double doubles is that???
He's playing better than Manu.

Ever since someone told me the story that he does 300 pushups easy just to warm up before a practice I've known he's a beast. Too bad he'll be making too much $$ now, he'll be impossible to get.

7 Consecutive double-doubles, a streak that a Bulls player didn't have since February 2001, when Elton Brand reached that mark.
His last 7 games averages: 19.6 pts, 12 rbs, 47%FG

There are tons of players I'd like to see with a Spurs jersey. Nocioni is one of them.
He could be very useful when Spurs decide to play some small ball : Nocioni at PF is way better than Bowen or Finley at PF.

I am going to say something maybe controversial but nocioni is 26 and bowen is 35 and maybe his retiring is not so far, so what would you sound it??

Nocioni needs to learn and improve a lot his defense (which is good NBA standard defense), to be able to do what Bruce does for the Spurs.

Yes you are right, but thatīs not my point. My point is that nocioni doesnt care to be a role player. And if pop (for example) would ask him to defend he wont have any problem, because he wants the best for the team, something similar to manu.

I'm with you. Chapu's light years away from what Bowen does on D.

i couldnt help but notice your picture, and how disrespectful that is to the greatest player of all time. Ginoibili isnt even one of the 10 best players in the league, so i dont see how you could compare him to THE best player OF ALL TIME. that is flat out disrespectful to Jordan.

so how do you think the spurs are going to land him now?
trading barry I doubt it
trading rasho for him
you do not trade a big for a small plus salaries do not match
beno for him bulls are not stupid
I would not trade any of the big three for him

I don't know the exact story on that. But I think that a Spurs scout gave the Spurs misinformation on how old he was. And so the Spurs missed out on him and then the scout ended up getting fired.

WAO ....did it really happen? :oops .......inside a professional franchise could happen that, i think that could be a great mistake if it was the reason why spurs didnt get him

Nocioni absolutely can't take Bowen's defensive role. He is more of a 3-4 tweener, and lacks the foot speed to keep up with elite swingmen. He'd be torched by the likes of Kobe, Ray Allen, and Vince Carter. He would have a better chance against stronger 3s, like LeBron and Carmelo though.

He had a bad shooting night against the Hawks tonight (5-17), but he got his 8th straight double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
He is averaging 10 RPG in the last 14 games. Impressive for a 6-7 guy.

Are you talking about god or are you talking about God? The fact that you never capitalize anything makes the conversation confusing.

Is it true we missed on Chapu because someone had miscalculated his age?Yes it is. From this article (http://www.mysanantonio.com/sports/basketball/nba/spurs/stories/MYSA110705.1D.BKNspurs.bulls.advance.120ca629.html ):
"The Spurs wanted to draft Nocioni but thought he was ineligible after a former international scout provided an incorrect birth date for him."
