It's amazing you right-wing motherfuckers absolutely refuse, on ideology, to consider the environment worth respecting and protecting.

While you people like to think of yourselves as the courageous, militaristic, smash-mouth hard-asses, it's pure spineless chickenshit to say "it's too hard to conserve", and to repeat canards like "conservation will destroy our standard of (fat-ass, gluttonous) living". The US economy has 3 times before responded to "oil shocks" and kept on truckin. It can do it again.

Even if carbon fuels were not a principal cause of global warming since the industrial revolution, carbon fuels, esp oil, is black gold to be conserved rather than wasted.

We've built a world economy that can't do without cheap carbon fules, but the economhy sure can do without wasting so damn much of it.

The right-wing's absolute refusal, under dictation from the energy industry, to pursue energy conservation as aggressively as it cuts taxes for the rich+corps, and launches bullshit, phony wars will be be seen later in history to be self-servingly, fatally stupid.

Lack of conservation of oil is holding the world price very high and financing US enemie like Iran, Russia, and later Iraq. Conservation is the primary national security issue totally ignored by Repugs who lie about their concern for national security.

So now an opt-ed piece that deals more with the politics of global-warming is better than science? Muddy the water...

I still don't understand how people can ignore the enviornment so much. I mean Yonivore you know cars pollute and that the pollution is bad right?

Then what's the problem? What are you trying to say?

Alarm rather than genuine scientific curiosity, it appears, is essential to maintaining funding. And only the most senior scientists today can stand up against this alarmist gale, and defy the iron triangle of climate scientists, advocates and policymakers.

IF true this is cause for concern.

Now let me hear Yoni say the same about global warming... :lol
