Warriors have lost 9 straight, so could be due, but the odds are very against a Warrior W. It would have helped if Mavs played last night.

I expect the Mavs to hold their focus for the next week while hoping the Spurs stumble into a tie.

GS fooled us for a few minutes. It was 11-2, then Dirk went off and it's 17-15. Nice while it lasted.

Interesting how Clips and Grizz are fighting it out to stay out of 5th seed vs Mavs and upper bracket, while the 6th seeds put them vs Nuggs and in the weaker bracket.

I don't want to go on and on about Ellis - he's super athletic, and surprisingly composed for a 19 year old (as in, REALLY composed).

Equally, I like Ike - Diogu. He will be a low-post stud.

J.T.
04-12-2006, 10:50 PM
J-Rich needs to get on the highlight reel in the 2nd half. He was ice cold in the 1st. Big 2nd half from J-Rich = death to Mavs.

Ellis has played pretty well against the Spurs this year. He's a super athlete and he's apparently super-confident. I'd be thrilled to see him have a great, epic 2nd half. Having said that, he'll go 0-8 with 4 turnovers in the 4th quarter.

I have the sense the Spurs aren't going to get any help from our friends in Dallas.

Not unless Fisher and Dunleavy get on fire which they won't.

My bad. They did not step up, but Murphy, Richardson and Diogu took up the slack. Sorry that you missed the playoffs. :smokin

Warriors have a chance, they need to execute in the 2nd half.

Warriors down by 1 at the half.

Sad part I really like the guy but he is so piss poor at the end of games or in big games.I hate Stack. He was a real cancer with the Wiz here in DC.

Amazing L for Mavs. Good to see the Warrior fans whooping it up.

But when the Pistons gave the Spurs a gift this season, the Spurs usually turned around and gave it right back.

A Spurs' L to the surging Magik?

A Spurs' L to the Desperately-Seeking-8th-Seed Jazz?

Come on, Spurs, win them all, get some playoff mo going.

Mojo girls still have much mo to sho.

I might go to the Jazz game just to secure the W for Spurs. Spurs have never lost when I go to the game (which includes Game 7 of the finals). Congrats to the GSWarriors for shuttin down the Mavs. Now let's just take care of business tomorrow and head into the playoffs strong.

DAL @ PHX tomorrow. B2B losses for the Mavs? Dirk folding at the end of the season? Only time will tell.

Dallas is going to tank now just to stay healthy, which is smart. Avery knows the Spurs aren't going to drop 2.

I hate the Warriors with a passion. The refs didn't help things either. Danny Crawford is to the Mavs as Bennett Salvatore is to the Spurs.

When is the last time Cuban whined about officiating on his blog???

Considering how many more FTs you've gotten than your opponents all year, he hasn't had much room to complain now, has he?

Considering how many more FTs you've gotten than your opponents all year, he hasn't had much room to complain now, has he?

So the Mavs have shot 2,203 FT's and their opponents have shot 2,091 FT's. A difference of 112 FT's over 79 games, or 1.4 FT's / game.

Detroit...278 more FT's than their opponents. Does their owner impact that, or is due to the play on the court???

Cleveland...325 more FT's...???

I only checked about 8 teams...I'm not following your point?

Last time the Spurs beat the Mavs, I believe.

Ok...so that was March 2nd...

From March 4th "Thoughts on the NBA":
http://www.blogmaverick.com/entry/1234000453073569/

That looks like his only NBA related blog from March actually...he talks about the way the officiating group is managed, not about missed calls, etc.

He did an officiating stats update in Jan, but it's not a complaint. Just posted stats on types of foul calls, etc...
http://www.blogmaverick.com/entry/1234000200073490/

In Dec he posted a study on Back-to-Backs...
http://www.blogmaverick.com/entry/1234000793073432/

In Nov he posted about Amare being on the fan's All-Star ballot, but Josh Howard is not...
http://www.blogmaverick.com/entry/1234000203069134/

Help me out...I must've missed all of his "complaining about officiating" blogs this year. Help me out... :rolleyes

Mavs shot 44% but seemed to be quite a a bit colder in the 4th, couldn't get any mo going.

The vastly inferior GS beat Mavs in pre-season and in first season matchup.
I think that got in both their heads, GS confidence vs Mavs up, while Mavs confidence down.

Interesting that GS won last night w/o Baron.

Yep...Mavs just couldn't do anything right in the 2nd half and the Warriors could do no wrong...

They didn't have Baron when they beat the Mavs at home a couple weeks ago on the Jason Richardson last second spinning, running 3 pointer. Ugghh...that was brutal...

Letting guys drive to the basket unmolested I would say counted as a night where your guys didn't give a shit.

That isn't a We couldnt do anything right and they did no wrong.

i think fisher/ellis is a better combo than baron/fisher. b davis is a great player but hogs the ball way too much. anyone care to research their 3 pt attempts with him in the lineup vs without him?

There was some of that, but there was also a ton of missed shots by the Mavs and made shots (not layups) by the Warriors...
