The record for HR in consecutive PA is 4. Pujols tied it.

HR in consecutive AB is different, because walks and sacrifices don't count as AB.

His forearms always have been enormous, from the day he was drafted.

Anything is possible, I guess, in this day and age, but he doesn't *look* like a 'roider.

he is a better overall hitter and player than bonds, not quite as much power but I would take him any day of the week over bonds.

He is on my fantasy team. Go Pujols!!!!!

The record for home runs in any game is 4. The record for consecutive games with a home run is 8. In order for anyone to reach TPark's supposed record, he would have to hit 4 home runs in 8 consecutive games and then 3 in the next game; that would be a problem, given that 8 is consecutive games is the record.

By the way, a player couldn't have done it in a few at-bats here and there; that would require eclipsing the consecutive games record.

He ain't that big.

Hes just one hell of a good hitter.

Lose the hate hater.

Jees I mistype and I get ripped for it.

I thought I heard on the broadcast the record was 5 consecutive at bats

If its 4, then thats a hell of an accomplishment :)

BTW, another homer tonight in an embarassment in Pittsburgh

10 homers 20 RBIs

MVP is going for back to backs

From ESPN:

Homering in four consecutive at-bats has been done 35 times in major league history.

Carlos Delgado, then with the Toronto Blue Jays, was last to do it on Sept. 25, 2003.

The previous time it was accomplished in the National League was by Atlanta Braves center fielder Andruw Jones from Sept. 7-10, 2002.

Pujols joins Stan Musial (July 7-8, 1962) as the only Cardinals player to do it.

Finishes the month with 14 RBIs, and I think 31 RBIs.

Back to Back MVP candidate already.

Best player in the game of baseball PERIOD.

Bonds has a better eye than Pujols, Pujols is much more of a free swinger.

Bonds' eyesight is chemically enhanced, according to that book.

How much has Pujols bulked up since his rookie year?

Yeah those balls 5 feet off the plate compared to Pujol's balls pitched to him are so hard to pick up.

A little, hardly at all.

He has always had hudge legs.

If you see him in person, wich I did last night, hes not that huge.

he just has great power in his legs driving him forward.

That bomb last night off of Oswalt was gorgeous.

That long hit he blasted off Lidge, and to hear 37 thousand fans in unison say NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Was hilarious :lol
