Not gonna happen. Thanks in no small part to a 22-7 advantage at the free throw line Mavs lead 51-41 w/2 minutes left in the half.

Id rather win tommarow night.

Devin Brown gets his ring.

Spurs beat Utah.

That win clinches first in the west.

Come on, it'll be sweet.

Even while the FT disparity has grown to 28-11. You wonder what the Jazz would do if they were getting ANY calls.

17 fouls on Utah resulting in 28 FT attempts, meaning almost all the calls were shooting fouls ...

I hope the Mavs lose tonight and that we win out just to rub it in. :)

that sucks for devin that he's had to wait this long....

but i'd rather not have a back to back change the way this great season should end. i want tim, manu, bruce, and tony all to get rested tomorrow and for houston and watch Fabricio and Devin have the duel of the century.

Fabs 64 points. 26 rebounds. 13 assists. 10 blocks. 10 steals.

Devin 65 points 10 assists. 10 rebouns. 46 steals of Van Ex and Rasho

MELVIN WITH THE HALFCOURT BUZZER BEATER TO WIN IT 67-65

now that is BELIEVE

Terry and Nowitzki a combined 3-14 (though of course they will heat up now that I said that).

First foul of the second half is .. a shooting foul on Utah. Nonutski hits the and one. Damn but that boy is good at shooting freebies.

Jazz within 4 at 57-61. But, of course, another shooting foul on Utah screws that up.

CubanMustGo
04-16-2006, 09:06 PM
Crap, now they call a shooting foul on a Nonutski three. 34 free throws for Dallas and not even halfway through the third. I'm done.

AK47 is having a bad game, too. 5 TO's and 5-9 from the foul line.

Wow, what bullshit. Humphries fouls Dirk as he goes to the basket. Nothing malicious. Then Dirk goes King Vagina and turns around and says something to Kris.

Both get technicals. :wtf Humphries was walking away when Dirk went after him. Then Jerry Sloan called it the bitch move it was by the ref to give both a T, and he got Ted up.

Lame homer _allas zebras.

And this just in: Dirk is still a giant vagina.

I can't figure out what's worse - the officiating (totally one sided) or the two local shill announcers sucking off Dirk for MVP. :vomit:

Utah's done, in fact the 8 playoff teams in the West are now set, the only thing that can change now are the positions of those teams.

Ed Malloy, Ken Mauer, and Tim Donaghy should be shot.

Brings back memories of Dallas @ SA in game 1 of the WCF when they had 50 FTA (and made 49 of them). :madrun

Well, Humphries DID hack Dirk hard across the forearm a good 2 steps after the foul was called. The foul was on the floor, not a shooting foul...Dirk went ahead and continued on to try to lay the ball in like people do all the time (ie, taking a free shot after a foul just for the hell of it). Dirk didn't like it, so he followed him up the court and let him know about it. When Humphries turned around and acknowledged him face to face, Dirk gave him a little push and they both got T'd up. Do YOU know what Humphries said? I don't. So it's hard to say if it should've been a double T or not isn't it??

Mark Followill is the man...Ortegal is a bit of a whip...

The local announcers were propping up their guy, who is a legit MVP candidate??? No way... :rolleyes

The Jazz got called for 7 more fouls than the Mavs (Jazz got 37 FT's). Is that way out of line considering how the Jazz were hacking last night???!!! The Mavs obviously got more shooting fouls which gave them 18 more FT's from only a 7 PF difference. I didn't know that a big difference in FT's means the ref's are playing favorites... :rolleyes

92 total fts in a game it totally ridiculous. and yes, an 18 ft difference is a lot.

WHO CARES ABOUT THE FT DIFFERENCE!! Not every foul results in FT's...some 1...some 2...some 3. Some teams are smarter about how they use their fouls...and how they spread them somewhat evenly throughout the game (keep from having a quarter where they're in the bonus early). Some teams drive to the basket more. Lots of variables involved between # of fouls and # of FT's. I don't understand why people look at the foul shot totals and assume that one team got jobbed?!! Isn't it possible for a game to be called correctly, but one team fouled a bunch and the other didn't??

A 7 FOUL difference in a game where the Jazz were hacking like crazy is not that out of line...

The 55 attempts are not zebra magic; it was Sloan's strategy although he didn't expect it to be that much. What I don't get it is why would you foul and foul Dallas? Okay, fouling Diop and some of our average free throw shooters makes some sense but Dirk? This is probably one of the most surreal and nonsensical tactics I've ever seen and it's coming from Sloan of all people.

There were some major hacks from Utah. No way the refs don't call those fouls. Humpries was sneaky by ripping Dirk's arm after the foul and trying to get away with it by looking away.

again, 92 ft attempts by 2 teams in a game is ridiculous. i didn't see or listen to the game, but it sounds silly. wack strat by sloan.

It was a frustrating game to watch. Everytime we were on offense, a foul was called and it was justified. Dallas was the more aggressive team. But it doesn't surprise me because it's the Utah Jazz.

Exactly...it was a cheap hack and a good way to screw up somebody's shoulder (ie, Dirk against the Jazz a few years ago)...
