Does anyone know of a place I could take my crashed laptop to get fixed that wouldn't be too expensive?

I'm thinking about taking it to Computer Nerdz, but I'm sure that will be rather costly.

What do you mean crashed?

I turn it on, and it goes to a blue screen that says "logon Failure"

I think it is because I loaded a CD that I burned from a Virus Ridden desktop computer.

What area of town do you live on?

EDIT: Yes Computer Nerds / Geeks would be pretty expensive...

My brother does that sort of thing, he specializes in laptops but it sounds like you've got a general computer problem, not laptop specific.

I don't know off hand how much he charges but I know it's less expensive than places like Computer Geeks.

Altex Electronics can fix your computer. I have no idea how expensive they are, but they are very good.

Mr. Laptop too.

Altex is too expensive IMO.

Sounds good to me, just tell me when and where.

and if you can't fix it I'l call up PM5K's brother, and see if he can.

I have used Mr. Laptop in the Colonnade to both upgrade the memory on my Dell and to replace some parts. Excellent work, and at much less than the other places I called, too.

you can't logon in safemode?

then use the "restore" feature?

hit F8 when you restart your computer

No, even when I try to use safe mode, the blue screen still pops up.
