Limited playoff tickets to go on sale Thursday April 20
Spurs Sell Out Entire Season

With only one game left at home in the Spurs regular season, the Spurs are anticipating selling out all 41 home games of the 2005-06 regular season. This is the first time since the AT&T Center opened in October 2003. It has taken a great team effort to finally accomplish this milestone; a championship team, increased season package sales and group sales and tremendous community support.

All Spurs Plan Holders (suite, full-season, half-season and 10-game) receive the right to purchase seats for all four rounds of the NBA Playoffs prior to the on sale to the general public. Even with the growth of Ticket Plan Holders, there will be 500 tickets available to the public for each Spurs home game of the 2006 NBA Playoffs.

Dates and times will always be announced in advance of each on sale. Fans can ONLY purchase tickets online at ticketmaster.com and spurs.com or Charge by Phone at (210) 225-TEAM. All ticket purchases will be limited to two (2) tickets per person, per game.

This Thursday, April 20, Spurs fans will have the opportunity to purchase game tickets to the first two home games of Round 1 (Games A & B) in the NBA Playoffs beginning at 10 a.m.

I don't think that has been announced yet. The playoffs start Sat. but that's all I've seen NBA.com report.

IF we play the Lakers it'll be on Sunday; if we play Sac. it'll be on Saturday.

So if I'm ready that correctly, the Spurs had 18,000 ticket holders this season?

Didn't I read hear the there are about 11,000 season ticket holders, so the Spurs only have to sell about 7,000 tickets/game to sellout?

Yeah, but people who put down a deposit for tickets next season get first crack at tickets for the playoffs, so I'm surprised that 500 tickets will be made available per playoff game.

IMO, Detroit and SA should be a Sunday doubleheader.

First time? Seems kind of strange that a championship contender in a new venue couldn't sell out before, especially considering it's a one horse town...

:lol

Yeah right. 50-60% of the 18K are season ticket holders.

That article is the Spurs way to make fans realize that they won't be getting playoff tickets this year unless they buy them all and pay the deposit on next year's season tickets.

SA/Sacto isn't exactly Sunday material.

You read both the article wrong and what I said.

What do you mean?

You are trying to say there's 18K Spurs plan holders? There's not. There's 11-12K.

But if you are a season ticket holder, you can buy more playoff tickets than you have season tickets. Plus if you newly sign up for season tickets for next season, you are guaranteed playoff tickets. That's why the playoff tickets are all sold.
