I would HATE that. Favre is past his prime and Bledsoe is just as good at this point. I am tired of seeing us go through a parade of aging one or two year QBs. We need to get a young QB in the system to be a franchise guy. I would love to do some moving around for next years draft to get Brady Quinn from Notre Dame.

Parcells.

That's all you need know.

He's not going to stick around for Quinn to develop. He's there for now and right now, with an offensive line to protect him, actual running backs and good receiving corp, Favre is a much better option than Bledsoe.

Take Quinn when available, but you can't count on Parcells or Owens to be there when the kid is ready, which is why Favre is a great option NOW.

Just what the cowboys need, another over-the-hill QB.

LOL
do the cowboys not have any 1st 2nd or 3rd rounders in 07?

Today, I'm not so sure Favre is better than Bledsoe in a Cowboy uniform.

Bledsoe had a good offensive line and a very good receiving corp.

That's two things Favre did not have.

Favre can move around still, be accurate with protection and with TO, would be a better QB for the deep pass with his playmaking ability.

Bledsoe can really only claim the second part.

Just my opinion... Green Bay was so bad towards the end, people forget how good Favre was during his first 7 games (1500 yards passing, 14 TDs, 7 INTs), when they had some talent around him.

That's a over 215 yards passing (with no blocking and without his best deep threat), 2 touchdowns to just 1 interception per game.

That's roughly the same numbers as Bledsoe over his first 7 games last year (1800 yards passing, 12 TDs and 6 INTs) and Bledsoe had the far superior offensive line and receivers during even that stretch.

Basically the numbers are a wash.

So would you rather have a non-mobile, non-playmaking QB throwing to Owens or a mobile, playmaking QB throwing the ball to Owens?

Owens has already said his preference.

Recall?

I remember T.O. talking about Favre that if he was the QB of the Eagles then they would had made the playoffs.

I think he said that if they had Favre, they would have won the championship. Don't hold me to that, though.

I also hear that Baltimore is interested in Steve McNair...

The Packers would be smart to pull off a trade. They can probably get multiple picks for him and then they would not just lose him to retirement.

Brady Quinn will be the Chuck Norris of football. Just wait.

Please god no. Favre is DONE . It doesn't make any sense to bring him here anyways when we have a sufficient QB for the job. Not to mention it would destroy our morale.

I like Farve's athletic ability far more than Bledsoe's uh...I guess you can call it athletic ability.

Why?

Corso says it would be SWEET to get Favre in Dallas, Corso!

Hell no. You will find nobody on DallasCowboysZone or Cowboys-Forum would like that. He needs to retire. Also, I also want to know why people are always down on Bledsoe. Give him protection, he will pick your defense apart. Not his fault that the oline didnt protect the qb in the 2nd half of the season.

Are you crazy? Wasn't it just a few years ago that Bledsoe was done in Buffalo? Wasn't he cut because he was so done? Then he gets an offensive line and a good bunch of receivers and he's back to being a sufficient QB.

I showed you that Favre's numbers were equal to Bledsoe's numbers in the first half of last year. He's got the better arm and better mobility. He's not done, except in Green Bay. If he's not traded, he's done.

Why?

He's slightly better than Testaverde....

We lost some games thanks to him and his fumbles.... and lets not forget interceptions...

He's just not giving the Cowboys the right aura...

We need the RIGHT qb in order to win.
Not the right WR or K or OL

Testaverde has been playing since what the 70's? lol... I mean it's time for some new blood out there...

Favre too.. great player .. great.. but old bones.

It's like the last generation didn't produce any QB? these guys are all from 80's.

Favvvv-ra is done. Caput...finito.

Helluva player, but no one has mentioned....didnt he lead the league in interceptions last year?

He has always had the guts to make throws that no other QB would because of his arm. His arm isnt the same, but his brain still says "throw it".

Avoid.
