The lying liberal media is doing its best to propagate the “Kerry met with both sides in Paris” meme. Here’s the latest effort from the LA Times (http://www.latimes.com/news/printedition/asection/la-na-swiftvets5oct05,1,2164292.story?coll=la-news-a_section):
"During his 1971 speech to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Kerry talked about private meetings he had attended the previous May in Paris with representatives from the U.S.-backed South and communist North Vietnamese governments." [emphasis mine]
But Kerry did not meet with the good guys. The “two sides” he met with were the official North Vietnamese government and the representatives of the Viet Cong. In Kerry’s own words (http://www.c-span.org/2004vote/jkerrytestimony.asp):
"I have been to Paris. I have talked with both delegations at the peace talks, that is to say the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and the Provisional Revolutionary Government…"[again, emphasis mine]
For those of you who have been drinking the Kerry Koolaid for awhile now, “Democratic Republic of Vietnam” is commie talk for North Vietnam. “Provisional Revolutionary Government” is commie talk for Viet Cong. Note how Kerry deferentially uses their chosen names.
He met with our enemies, but not with our friends. He only wanted to hear what our enemies had to say. This is a man who now wants to sit in the Oval Office. And the lying liberal media is doing its damnedest to get him there.
