View Full Version : National media = sick of Shaq already

This love fest by the national media with this offish clown daily is getting more and more grating. Dominating my @#$*. The over-rated Aristotle (who has never won a rebounding or blocks title etc or a title without a 2nd great superstar) and is surely in for a rude awakening when zones collapse on him ala Duncan all the time (unless bailed out by the refs again over and over). Yet, he is working on the MVP by default with the press just by playing with them daily.

Wish list for this year:

O'Neil (Ind) type out plays him - not an implausiblity.

Kobe (despite my hate for him too) throws a 360 facial over Shaq - likely

A very motivated and under-appreciated Piston team and Ben Wallace = who dissed by Shaq in the off season makes him look slow again - likely.

Some thug from either the Pistons or Pacers (Artest, Wallace et. al) decides enough his rough offensive play and starts some serious rumbling - very likely.

Shaq starts gaining weight again and breaks down again - extremely likely.

Duncan and Yao show him West is still best in show downs - very probable.

^^ Same, I don't really like either but since I feel inclined to pick a side I chose Shaq.

Mouth Piece...nuff said....Kobe's taking the high road in his recent interviews, however, I think that's by design...Performance on the court will determine if any of this BS is worth talking about years from now.
Oh, I lost a little love for Kobe calling out Shaq in that police interview...still, I'm a Kobe fan. Why, we'll all see this year, why.

I highly doubt that. How many times have you seen Shaq attempt to block a dunk? He would rather (and does) get out of the way instead of being dunked on.

Eh, I'm not gonna get back to Shaq hating mode until after he puts Kobe into the third row on Christmas Day.

Then it'll be back to hatin'.

Aggie, this is off topic but great job by your Texas A&M Aggies beating the absolute crap out of my Clemson Tigers a few weeks ago. You guys are having a good year (I know you would like to play the Utah game over again though) and we obviously aren't.

Anyway, congrats to your team and best of luck the rest of the way. My Clemson friends who made the trip to College Station for the game said that they were treated like royalty by you guys and left the game having a great deal of respect for A&M fans. Hopefully we can return the favor next year in Tiger Town.

Just like that girl in Colorado, Shaq won't let that happen.

I've never really disliked Shaq, even when he was on the Lakers. Now that he's away from the evil empire, he'll probably be one of my favorite players to watch.
