That's because Kobe is sucking. I'm still in shock that their starting lineup is made up of Smush Parker, Luke Walton, and Kwame Brown. How the hell did the Lakers get the 7th seed and 45 wins with this group???? :wtf

LA is down 6 in the third quarter, which kind of weird, considering Kobe`s got just 10 points.

Luke really isn't that bad. He's just best as a 5th wheel type of guy. It's the fact that they also have Smush and Kwame starting that makes it bad. They have three 5th wheels.

Exactly my point. Those guys can be role players...I never thought a team could make the playoffs with them as starters.

More interesting is the fact taht the Suns and Lakers are tied going into the 4th, with Kobe only having 10 points on like 9 shots. Walton has been pretty good...:wow

I still say Suns will win today....what do you guys think?

Tied at end of 3.

If Lakers split @PHX, Suns will be in deep shit.

I guess getting Tim Thomas payed off, he`s 8-8 FG, 4-4 3pt with 14 rebounds.

Considering the way Tim Thomas has played and the way Kobe has played, you gotta think the Lakers are feeling confident after this one win or lose. Kobe has played like crap most of this game, and Tim Thomas has had the best game of his career.

I bet Kobe will have 40+ points in the next game, if he doesn`t explode in the next three minutes and wins the game.

I said it in the other thread...I like the Lakers chances more when Kobe jacks up 25 shots for 35 points. He passed up way too many shots first 3 quarters, that's why he's been so cold in the second half. He's missing shots he normally makes.

Damn, Hubie Brown is really pushing for a Steve Nash MVP win :)

Suns win. Damn they've been to the FT line something like 27 times compared to 10 for the Lakers!

Horry For 3!

:lol You're not going to win a playoff game with Luke Walton as your leading scorer.

He wasn't the leading scorer. Kobe had 22, Odom 21, Walton 19

He was the leading scorer for almost 3 quarters, I believe. Anyways, my point was, Kobe NEEDS to take 30 shots and score 40 points for this team to win...I think they have a better chance of doing that and winning then letting guys like Luke Walton "Get hot".

Suns in 5 or 6. Book it.

Although, I must say I did surprisingly enjoy watching the Lamar Odom vs Matrix matchup. That's going to be a good one for this series.

Points are points, no matter who gets them. They fouled wayyyyy too much, that is why they lost. Not that Walton scored 19 pts. That is my point.

You're right...Suns usually never get to the line. They went about 25+ times this game and made all but 1 FT.

We'll see how Luke plays in Game 2...I'm still not over the fact that he's a starter. He'd be a great bench player though...he makes excellent passes, plays some ok Defense at times, and can shoot the ball well at times. I just don't think he's made to be a starter in the NBA. :spin
