The wallace twins (tweed and nappy) and prince always reach and slap whenever someone goes in the lane. On my surround sound i'm hearing a lot of flesh with those slaps... I can't understand why the dont call these fouls more often. You play defense with positioning and footwork, not by slapping guys on the wrists. This is the same shit they did all of last year including the finals.

All you spurts fans need to quit drinking that Haterade. The only reason you want the Bucks to win is that subconciously, you really know you DON'T WANNA PLAY THE PISTONS!! Yeah, you roll over SAC. As pitiful as you are I would still expect a #1 seed to win over a #8 seed. However, if at any time you were to entertain thoughts of doing the same to the Pistons, I would suggest you get out of Michael Jacksons never-never land backyard, come back to planet earth and start sharing some of that must-be-primo weed you're smoking.

I watched with glee as the Pistons handed you your asses in December only to have you complain that "you didn't have manu and it wasn't on your court". Then the Pistons manhandle you on your court WITH manu and you complain that everyone is injured. You people have more excuses than Bush.

1. The Pistons whine over every call so officials get tired of calling fouls on them.
2. The Pistons cheat a lot and get away with it.
3. After getting away with a lot of fouls, teams get scared of going in and not getting the call so they end up shooting jumpers.

Ben Wallace. Sure they get away with things once in a while (as does every good defensive player/team in the league....bowen....), but at it's root it's Big Ben. If you watch a Piston game, you'll notice that when the guards get beat off the dribble, they aren't going to hack for steals or get a ton of touch fouls trying to keep them out of the paint. That is because Ben Wallace is always shadowing them. They know he is back there to cut off the penetration or alter the shot. He is really in a league of his own when it comes to essentially zoning up the floor all by himself. That leads to less fouls early in the period. Less time in the penalty, and less easy FT opportunities.

The Pistons really have 2 very unique elite defenders. Ben is unlike any center in the league in that he uses quickness and smarts rather than size. Therefor he is the least foul prone big man in the league by far. Tayshaun is unlike most great defenders like Bowen and Artest in that he doesn't have to be physical and get up in a players jersey. He just uses those freakish arms to sag off players and still alter shots. That is why he commits the least fouls per 48 minutes of ANY player in the league.

Just look here... http://www.82games.com/0506/05DET16D.HTM

The opponent Free Throw differential with Ben on and off the floor is +7 (meaning they take 7 less FTs per 48 minutes when he's on the floor). The Pistons actually give up a lot of Free Throws per 48 minutes with Ben on the bench (25).

I admit they complain but no more than the next team (Tayshaun's normal facial expression is a bit whiny looking). And no my brother, the refs don't get tired of calling fouls, if anything excessive complaining will bring about a technical (Rasheed) on top of the foul (perhaps most of your sarcasm was centered in this statement).
Some opposing teams do get frustrated as they do with the Spurs who are also a good defensive team. If many shots in the paint are blocked or need to be altered or if the ball is often swatted at by multiple defenders that will cause the opponents to settle for jumpers. That would work except the Pistons also swarmed upon Redd who stated that 'everytime I got the ball the Pistons had 2 or 3 defenders on me'.

And they have definitely been fortunate regarding major injuries.

So I agree with your post to the extent that all teams and players complain and try to break the rules while being clever enough to not get caught.

(An honest Piston fan with a slightly different perspective :) ).

The Pistons whine more than any team in the NBA. Even as a Pistons fan, you have to admit that. Yes, there are plenty of other NBA players that complain and bitch about officiating as well. But, collectively and as far as being overdramatic and animated in doing so, no other team does it more than the Pistons. As a Pistons fan, I don't have a problem with it for a few reasons: 1) it tells me they are really into the game, 2) it tells me when they feel they're getting jobbed, they are going to speak up, 3) I think it's rooted in their desire to win so badly, 4) it usually fires them up to play better. But, they do whine more than most teams, and it's not even close.

I know the referees don't get tired of calling fouls. That was one of the points I was really using sarcasm on. But, it sounded funny.

And, the Pistons do get away with a lot. Rip clutches and grabs as much as any defender in the league. Last night is a perfect example because Rip was fouling Michael Redd every possession down. Ben sometimes goes over the back or hits the body on some of his blocks. But, as the old adidge goes, the officials will reward the aggressors. The reputation the Pistons have really helps them many times. It's the same thing with guys like Bruce Bowen, Andrei Kirilenko, and Marcus Camby. They often get the benefit of the doubt if it's close, and sometimes they even get away with more. Ben and Bruce get away with more than any other player in the league at the defensive end. But, the two of them have earned that benefit by how hard they play. Another cliche ... if you ain't cheating, you ain't trying.

As for the Pistons being the luckiest team this season, also one laced with sarcasm, but there's always a touch of luck that comes with success, so it's not completely sarcasm.

He hasn't re-entered, the legs wrapped in ice right now.
They haven't taken him for x-rays so I guess that's good.

I assume Flip relies on the Drs. and trainers for this decision.
I'm not sure what the rush was to get him back on the court, the Bucks are probably the one team in the playoffs they are most likely to beat without the services of Rip.

Hmmm, Rip puts his mask back on and re-enters the game, guess he's okay. :)

The bucks are unable to deal with the sniper like accuracy of Maurice Evans.

Great first half looks like the Bucks are in for a long night.

After losing by 18 in Game 1 a reporter asked Rasheed, "What adjustment do the Bucks need to make in Game 2"? Rasheed- "I don't have the slightest idea but they better come up with something".

this one's good too:

Chris McCosky: Are the Bucks' two big centers forcing you to shoot more from the outside than you would like?

Rasheed: "I go wherever my shot will take me. They give me that tramp (three-pointer), I will bang (make) that tramp. Give me the low-post, and I will go in the low-post. If it's a mid-range J (jump shot), then I'll knock that down. It don't matter. Anywhere on that 94 (foot court) is my range."

:fro hells yeah sheed, bang that tramp :spin

Pistons scored 109 points. Had 61 points in the first half. 92 after three quarters. There was plenty of scoring.

Pistons had 30 assists, so they were sharing the ball. Only 9 turnovers.

Six players with double digit scoring. 33 points from the bench. So, the scoring was balanced.

Pistons shot over 50% from the field. Pistons hit 10 3-pointers.

Pistons also had 6 blocks and 6 steals.

Great basketball sure is boring ...

I dont think HF3 was saying it as a slight against the Pistons.

I think he meant that this matchup isnt worth watching (because it isnt). Its the Pistons show. The de-construction of a far inferior team.
