Yes, the Lakers actually played solid team ball. Phil Jackson's gameplan of getting everyone outside of Kobe involved was fairly brilliant, as the Lakers put up a great fight. Unfortunately for Kobe, that same gameplan altered his offensive rhythm and he had a decidedly poor shooting night.

The Suns also did a pretty poor job of executing their fast-tempo offense. After that 39-point 1st quarter, they seemed to fall apart, scoring only 36 in the next two quarters. On the flip side of that coin, the Suns played great defense and limited the Lakers to 42% shooting. They also did a fantastic job of getting to the line the entire game. Tim Thomas was big, but James Jones, Eddie House, and Raja Bell were all very quiet offensively. They need to step it up if they hope to put the Lakers away early.

surprises..not sure, but fuck the Cavs, Mavs and Spurs. I was really pulling for the Wiz and Grizz to pull through. oh well, we will see how things turn out.

Lebron James suprised me. A triple-double in the first ever playoff game, who does that? It's incredible. I also thought that this series would be devoid of the type of blowout Cleveland laid on Washington. I assumed it would look very much like the Clippers-Nuggets series.

And so did the Pistons - their offense looked horrible yesterday. I hope that was just the tune-up game.

Horry For 3!

I think a safe bet for first round would be all HCA teams advancing.

Suns vs Lakers game was entertaining. As was the Clipps vs. Nuggets.

Lebron James is living up to the hype...even though it was agains the Wiz, a triple double in the first game and basically a blowout win is impressive. I expected that series to be close.

It is gonna be close and the Wiz will win it. The Wizards could not have played worse on saturday and only lost by 11. They played worse than the Kings!

Well, I thought the final score was a little misleading. Wiz never really had a chance and were down 15+ for most of the game.

The Wizards will always live and die by the jumpshot. When Arenas, Jamison, and Butler are hitting their shots, even elite teams have trouble with them (when they beat us, I believe Arenas started like 10-10 or something along those lines) That series will be decided almost solely by the Superstars on each side, because neither team has an overly deep bench. First team to have 4 hot shooting games by their stud wins.

^Very true. Hell, Donyell Marshall looked like stud in that game for the Cavs :smokin
