How come no one brought up that rare NBA moment with 120-115 in OT where Tim gets the ball to inbound pass to Tony, "Here." and Tony goes, "oh thank you, pretty ballll." , pets it, then steps out of bounds to throw another inbound pass. Turnover to Kings. Kings thank the two, for two points off that gift possession. Pop's expression was priceless too.

It's just that I've never seen that in the NBA before :lmao.

You'd think since we won, we would be able to laugh at that mental lapse.

The Spurs have long be lackadaisical about the line. Most of the big men barely even get over it before inbounding. That was junior high stuff.

In spite of the win, that comedy act epitomizes that the Spurs' heads and hearts were mostly elswhere last night.

A "fun" win, but the Spurs were pretty badly outhustled and outdesired in regulation.

In the context of the situation It was no big deal since we were pretty much comfortably in control with the amount of time and options...but still it's one of those peculiar things, "What the hell was that?!". Only for a moment I worried that things could have turned ugly.:oops

Tony was good as a whole, even though he made some TO's he made up for them down the stretch.

He gets a lot of flak for his "playoff history" but the kid is really well-meaning for the team, I hope he comes up big this post-season in one of these crucial games it'll solidify his confidence this year.

my question was why not let timmy throw the ball in. its usually a big man anyway, why were they changing it up at that time. sac wasn't in full court pressure so it didn't matter who threw the ball in!! it was not funny at the time but okay now.

How about Tony's crazy fall in the 1st quarter? He could have easily broken something there. If we have to be thankful for something last night, is that Tony didn't get injured in that fall.

I liked the expression on Tim Duncan's face when Tony Parker did that. He was looking at him with an expression saying "What the Hell is wrong with you"

You don't see it called because IT NEVER HAPPENS. I saw it coming the way Tony was walking towards the line when Tim flipped him the ball. Obviously Tony was thinking about something else entirely.

Regardless of who was "supposed" to bring the ball in, Tim was out and passed/handed the ball to Tony inbounds. Then, instead of taking off up the floor, Tony proceeded to step back out of bounds. Luckily it was meaningless in the end. Watch for a little more care to be displayed inbounding from now on.

I disagree that it never happens. I see that sort of back-and-forth thing happen sometimes. I guarantee that we won't see it again from the Spurs.

Not all the turnovers charged to Tony were really his fault. That is one thing I don't like about box scores. They pretty much always blame the passer even though it sometimes is not really his "fault". Kind of like steals- the guy who often forces the bobble or the bad pass gets no credit while the guy who the ball pops into his hands is credited with a steal. It just doesn't always tell the real story.

During the time out, Tim and Tony were still discussing this at the bench. It would seem most likely that it would not be Tony who would inbound the ball. I think that Tony really wasn't looking at what Tim did as the inbounds pass and he was still just talking to Tim.
