"They're still the team the beat. They're the best team in the league … They have more depth than anybody. They're the best defensive team in the league… I think the Pistons intimidate teams more than the Spurs do. They're going to have a swagger, but they're also going to be marked … Picking up McDyess was nice … I don't know what they're going to do with Derrick Coleman … The big question is Rasheed Wallace: Can he stay healthy? I think he's getting a little more older, a little more brittle. He had problems with his foot … If these guys stay healthy, they have enough to win on defense alone … Of course, they have enough offense … They're certainly the best team in the East."

What "they" say about the Pistons is worth about as much as a squirt of piss to me. "They" all said last years Lakers would dominate the league. Shows you how much "they" really know.

I don't know who THEY are, but that article is ancient being that it mentions derrick coleman. We dont want to be looked at as the best in the east, or nba. Let the heat, suns and spurs get the attention. We like it that way.

Indiana and Miami can actually spell defense. Can't say the same for seattle and phoenix. Detroit's opposition has better prepared them to face a quality defense than SA's has.

The key here is defense. Let's be serious here, the Suns don't guard anybody. You're all by yourself if you dispute that. I haven't seen anyone that alone since Burgess Meredith stumbled out of a bank vault on the Twilight Zone.

Thanks for underscoring my point about the Spurs not having faced a playoff opponent that plays any defense and thus being less prepared to face the Pistons than the Pistons are to play the Spurs.
