What are some good restaurants around here that aren't big (not in size)?

I'll always try to think of different places to eat, but then just revert back to the regular places. I don't care what kind of food - just something that isn't a very well-known place.

Something new.

I went to a little italian bistro place over near San Pedro/Hildebrand area called Ciao. Great food - but pricey.

All good - but I was looking for lesser known places. Not chains.

Paesano's isn't really a chain and is excellent. I'm not just saying that because it's my company too. Because Zuni's sucks.

Ah yes. The place to go if you want to hang out with SA's most superficial crowd. My wife drug me there twice. Both times we waited over an hour just to get a table, and another 30 minutes for a meal that wasn't even that good. Never again.
