The San Antonio Spurs today announced that guard/forward Melvin Sanders suffered a sprained right MCL at practice on 4/27.
Sanders, who is not on the Spurs 13-man playoff roster, is expected to miss two-to-four weeks.
The 6-5, 210-pound Sanders appeared in 16 games in three stints with the Spurs in 2005-06. He averaged 2.6 points and 1.4 rebounds in 7.1 minutes.

Something like, " Injury in Spurs practice today."
But what Kori meant was; " Die Suckers Die!" :lol

Geez, the league changes the rules so that players don't have to make up injuries to be off the active roster and Melvin goes out and gets a real injury. I have to question his basketball IQ.

That will only get him so far. I don't think that anyone on the Spurs squad can be the mentor that Gary Busey is.

All joking aside, Melvin is important for practice- when you don't want to overuse Manu, and the three old guys- Bruce, Michael, and Brent! That's the whole reason he is around.
