A tough tough shot, but it was a travel without a doubt.

I lived in Cleveland when LBJ entered the league. I pitied the kid. Figured nobody could live up to so much hype.

Shows you how much I know :) He's actually doing it.

Traveling in the NBA is like 5 steps, every guard takes like an extra step or two.

i agree, it was a great game. i also agree that it was tough shot for James. but he travelled before that shot, and it was that foot that travelled that made him create that winning shot so close to the basket.

o well. so much for that game. i was actuially waiting for the spurs-kings game, and it is not being broadcast in my place.

How the hell didn't the announcers mention the travel? I was sitting there stunned that no one mentioned it.

Oh yes, you bet. And that's the way both Detroit and SA like it. Don't watch us, don't talk about us. Until we play each other in the Finals.

But I'd rather hear people talk about LBJ's on court exploits, than what happened a few years with the LA soap opera.

They were all gushing and hyping and drooling on that shot.

Jumpstop, pivot, reverse pivot, step towards rim, jump

insane that this was deliberatly looked past.

LBJ totally traveled, no doubt about it, he won an NBA road playoff game on a travel.

for Wizards fans, THAT is something to be furious about.

Agree. If I'm a wizard fan, I'd be totally furious.

Wow, I have just seen it on NBA.com and Lebron traveled, that should have been called. It was travelling even by NBA standards.

lol, I'm glad I wasn't the only one who saw that. I seen it happen and noticed nothing was said, so had to rethink myself for a minute, then thought it's Lebron James so they are just kissing his ass.

he traveled like 3 times in a row, with no calls.:lol

Yeah didn't he throw it up in the air and then catch it himself and then keep dribbling? I think it was a play or two before the 5.7 travel.

Arguably a travel. Looked like he got fouled before the step through as well as on the shot attempt. Refs swallowed the whistles and let the players decide. I don't have a problem with that. It was close enough to not being a travel to not call it.

That was a great play so stop whining.

He did travel, but Arenas had a WIDE OPEN three to make up for it, and he missed it.

He is getting Michael Jordan-like calls at the age of 21, he is going to be flat out invincible when he's in his prime.

The refs won't even let you look at him, i bet.

Proof you don't need basketball fundamentals to be successful.

if that ever happens, I will completely get rid of basketball in my life.

LOL. Yeah, that Lebron James has no basketball fundamentals at all. :lol

That move was rediculously illegal. I was in desbelief over two things:

1. How in the World the refs didn't call a travel...I mean it was so damn obvious.

2. How in the hell the announcers didn't mention the travel at all.

Then I remembered...well that he's Lebron and the league has it's lips permanently attached to his ass.

That really sucks. That is not good for LeBron either. Obvius illegal play. Once again, this sucks.

I dunno if LeBron realized that he travelled on that play, he was obviously feeling proud and omnipotent while he was walking towards the Cavs bench during the resulting Wiz timeout.

O well, I just happen to read this... B.S. no?

----------
Not surprisingly, James said he didn't take too many steps on the play. Asked about it Saturday, he analyzed what happened with the same matter-of-fact demeanor that's made him a superstar at the ripe old age of 21.

"It was a basic up-and-under move ... all big men do in this league. Not too many guards or forwards. That's why a lot of people think I travel," James said.

LOL. I just saw it. Here is what I saw.

1)Jump stop
2)Moved right foot to the right to get around whoever was guarding him.
3)Moved left foot forward to get about 2 feet closer to basket.
-That is what, 4 steps right there.
4)I don't even think he got the shot off. I am looking at it, and it looks like he released the ball after he came back down. Another turnover.
