What, they are going legalize what has been going on there for years. Drugs.
Always was easy for anyone to get anything they wanted in Mexico.
The land of civil rights, as long as you could stand the pain. Mexico!

My ALU indicates that this is a highly improbable scenario.

Clearly we live in the land of consumption too.... Fortunately we have many good cops who are fighting the fight against drugs... It's harder to be 'good' in a country where moralistic relativism can drive people to do 'bad' things just so they can feed their families... It is easy to point the finger when we are not the ones facing such desparate living conditions...

Legalizing the weed so cops can go after bigger fish is good idea. But they are sending dangerous signals. Tradionally most Mexican's sold the harder stuff but didn't get high on there own supply. Now the streets will be full of crack heads and shit.
It's just not good not good. The drugs seem like a good ride but there always is a crash in the end.

Nothing like complimentary joints and crack on your pillow at the Hotel instead of the usual chocolates.

Don't start packing to Mexico just yet to pick up your coke or MJ.

MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - Mexican President
Vicente Fox will not sign widely criticized narcotics legislation until Congress removes parts of the law that decriminalize the possession of small amounts of drugs, his office said on Wednesday.
The president's office said the law would be sent back to Congress for revision.
"In our country the possession of drugs and their consumption are, and will continue to be, crimes," the office said in a statement.
The approval of the legislation, passed by Congress last week, surprised Washington, which counts on Mexico's support in its war against gangs that move massive quantities of cocaine, heroin, marijuana and methamphetamines through Mexico to U.S. consumers.
It was also criticized by authorities in tourist towns who worried about a flood of thrill-seeking visitors.
